You guys hit the perfect blend of good production value (but not over the top), interesting deck designs and enjoyable play. Top tier content always.

It's hard to choose, but I think I'll have to go with Ezuri, Claw of Progress from Commander 2015. He was my second ever fully custom-built deck (and the one of said custom builds that gets played the most since the first is Edgar Markov), and it's just fun to play a lot of elusive small guys that all of a sudden are the size of train cars. It gets even more fun with proliferate and the fact that WotC keeps printing support for +1/+1 counter shenanigans.

Of course I understand the need edit out dead space from gameplay videos, but I frequently find myself spending extra time trying to figure out what's going on when I watch your videos. Take 24:08 for example. "I have gained nine life, should I kill? Can't cast this. That's your second spell. Yeah, so I'll kill it, then cast it. Yeah, that works." That's like 4 card interactions without a card even being mentioned. Instead of something like "I've gained 9 life, so I could use Sorin to deal 9 damage somewhere. And since the Archon of Emeria is stopping me from casting my Dark Confidant, I'll deal the damage there."

I was debating on whether or not to comment, but I was thinking the same exact thing. This game was hard to follow, I struggled to figure out how the Elf player died when he had so much life left, and the gaps in play made it confusing from a viewers POV. Maybe it was because of the oddly low/disinterested energy? Either way, I second this👆🏼

Good feedback. I’ll see what we can do in the recording to improve the ability for you all to follow along. It’s not easy to think about that in a multi hour game every time. We could leave more of the recording in but then then video would be pretty long.

Favorite OG commander? That's hard for me but talking about what I learned the format with it would be Braids, Conjurer Adept. Planar chaos had just dropped, and Blue Braids with future sight effects seemed great until I could basically get my whole deck on the table and still not win because it was all draft chaff blue fliers. Despite that, it was fun as hell, went brrrr real well.

Just curious but wasn't Sorin suppose to flip when Carlos played the Fellwar Stone with Extort? Each other player would loose a life and he would gain 3 which in second main would have Sorin flip to the Planeswalker side...

Gah, I love new EDH channels, especially in person play, however when I hear the first whiff of salt I gotta stop. Nothing against the players, it’s just entirely off putting as a viewer. Good game overall tho and I’m super excited for MH3. Cheers!

Flipped Sorin is way to vulnerable to be on board without a good reason. I only play sorin if i gained a lot of life in my firsty main to flip him in my second and one shot a player or the biggest treat for his loyalty counters.

Extort doesn’t add to the commander color ldentity, so sorin deck should be monoblack

You are correct about extort. However, it’s a bit hard to tell but the color identity on the back is black and white.
