I believe Lefty is a gag that can only really be accomplished in 2D animation (and also because the GF citizens aren't that bright). Lefty is also the short I've seen the most since Disney XD was really fond of constantly showing it during commercial breaks in comparison to other shorts. That aside for those wondering the remaining shorts are as followed: Mabel's Guide to Life Fixin It with Soos TV Shorts Mabel's Scrapbook Aside from Guide to Life (which has 5) each one is 2 episodes each. Finally the remaining GF related stuff I'd recommend watching are the Lost Legends fandub, Between the Pines, Mystery Shack Shop At Home with Mr. Mystery, the GF Pilot and Pocalypse Preppin.

The gide-behind actually was not invented by Gravity Falls. It is a creature, who exists as myths and legends in our world and was the "reason" why people always thought, that they were beeing watched in the woods. A grim fact, in the old legends, the hide-behind even hunts humans. He picks one, who is alone in the forest and follows his prey, but not out of the woods. He will always hissss behind you to drive you crazy and let you loose your orientation. When you finally have a mental breakdown or come to your knees do to lack of energy, he will emerge from his hidingspot and feast on you. Sometimes, when he is impatient, he will appear at the edge of your line of side, often behind a tree, lurking at you, but only for such a brieve moment, that you one recognize, that something big, skinny and black may be there, but at the same time qustion, if you start imagining things... God, I love the tales of this creature!

The reason they said to watch the shorts before the second season is because ein season 2 it shows a flashback of Stan and Standford fighting and Stanford shoves Stan back while they are in his lab with the portal and the exact symbol on his shoulder is also on the thing he falls onto then screams because it burns him. It's not a tattoo and he refused to show it because elater he says he knew about the weirdness of gravity falls but was trying to keep it away from his grandkids to protect them. Love this reaction by the way. I'll be updating this as I watch. I also have the book but it's currently lost. I was decoding it for a while but life happened and now I've lost it. Update: I think you guys have this I'm not going to continually update it throughout this video. I do have a suggestion though. They have comics that are in video form wether it's dubbed by a fan or totally silent on KZbin or other sites that "Continue" the story which are made by the creators of Gravity Falls just some people took pictures and made videos of the books together and I'd love to see you look at those on a video.
