Mcree/Cole was originally an Overwatch member, though specifically on Blackwatch, the covert ops section of OW that handled things OW couldn't, such as gathering intel on Null Sector's fortifications during the King's Row Uprising. Former Blackwatch members also include Reaper (Gabriel Reyes, commander), Moira and Genji. Before joining OW though he was a member of the Deadlock gang, hence how he knows Ashe and Bob.

she could be a hero in overwatch lol regular fire - just a magic projectile alt - short range magic stream that does extra dmg to shields ability 1- fire arrow, sets fire to targets ability 2 - absorbs projectiles turns it into leaves which heal self and nearby allies ult - dragon form, 6 seconds as a dragon. 1000hp (250 armour). fly similar to echo. shoots a fire stream dealing dmg and setting things on fire. alt fire shoots fireball deal 100 dmg are and setting fire

42:27 I believe Mercy was the one who saved Genji's life with cybernetics when Hanzo had left him for dead, and then there were some scenes in comic books that showed the two of them wrote letters to each other I think even after Overwatch disbanded along with some valentine specific voice lines between the two has led most OW fans to accept a relationship between the two as head canon. Even though its never been explicitly confirmed its clear they have a bond and is the most likely to be a true romantic pairing aside from the history Cassidy and Ashe shared.

I'm pretty sure the shimada family collapsed after the losing both genji and hanzo. Genji leaving would have hyper galvanised Hanzo supported, but Hanzo leaving would have pulled the rug from under them, leaving there authority on very shaky ground.

Kiriko's mom actually trained Genji, Hanzo, and Kiriko together all training with swords (Hanzo was the best) but Genji and Kiriko were likely the closest to each other out of the trio. They got into all kinds of trouble and Genji got a bull cut to match Kiriko. Genji and Mercy one of the most popular ships in OverWatch is actually supported by Genji's voice actor.

My absolute favorite thing about zero hour is how dramatic and amazing they made Genji's intro to the cinematic was. The best part was that they wouldn't even have won that fight without Genji specifically, he saved winston, created the opening where the cryo bomb was placed, and cut off the hand that would have grabbed tracer which would have ruined tue whole thing.

The cinematics at 42:00 and 44:10 are both for Heroes of the Storm. When the first cinematic was shown, it was to introduce D'va and Genji to the game, as well as a Hanamura map. The second was when they introduced Hanzo and Alexstrasza (a character from World of Warcraft). Other Overwatch characters that are in Heroes of the Storm are Tracer, Zarya (also released a Volkaya map at the same time), Lucio, Ana, Junkrat, and, more recently, Mei. I'd also like to add, they did a REALLY good job of transferring their kit from Overwatch to HotS. There are differences, but they still feel like the same character. It's unfortunate Blizz shut down development of the game. It still has a decent sized player bass so it's far from a dead game. Blizzard fucked up the marketing and monetization of it, so it wasn't pulling in as much as they wanted.

The Dragon Hanzo fought is Alexstrasza from World of Warcraft, she is is the guardian of all life in the world of Azeroth. The titans from WoW also appointed her queen of all dragons. (she is good aligned)

OW2's story mode is gonna be co-op, but it IS coming. It's just that the PVP section of the game had to launch early, so that the game could earn money again after a THREE YEAR content drought (no, new skins doesn't count as content). You can find footage on KZbin of OW KZbinrs playing an early version of one of the first missions from this PvE mode (Mei, Rein, Tracer, Lucio) on KZbin. Kiriko isn't a member of OW in the same way that Spider-Man isn't a member of S.H.I.E.L.D. They're a global level organisation, she's just a city level hero, doing what's best for her own. I expect that she'll be playable on ONE mission, focused on Japan, but only that one - likely with Genji, Mercy and Winston (Genji since they grew up together, Mercy since she has the romantic tie to Genji and saved her life, Winston to round out the 121 composition that story based missions have). Meanwhile, other characters, such as Rein/Echo/etc, would show up on MULTIPLE missions as they're a part of the new OW organisation.

Ashe and her story with Cassidy is one of my favorites. Ashe put together a gang with Cass and some other guys, and she saw them as her family. So when Cassidy left the gang for Overwatch she felt like her brother abandoned her and their family for a “goodie two shoes” group, she despises him now and they argue like siblings/kids when they’re on the same team 😂

Kiriko's Front Door is at the end of the hallway, so if you look throw the peak hole you see the whole Hallway. That is why her mom could see everything. The door was not on the side. They did kinda Focus on the last door in the corridor because that was Kiriko's Apartment.

The last cinematic with Genji/Dva/Diablo and Hanzo/Dragon. The dragon lady is Alexstraza, who is the head of the red dragonflight. She'll be a big character in the next expansion dropping in a few hours as I type this. They were pure crossover cinematics that were a lot of fun. Also Dva ate chips and soda because she's an esports pro (them making fun of the stereotype) who got converted to the mech squad. She's also only 19, for those that see her as waifu.

I know I'm really late here but I still don't see many comments about this. The red dragon lady in the HOTS cinematic's name is Alexstrasza the Life-Binder and she's one of the Dragon Aspects (extremely powerful, important and ancient beings that protect the Azeroth - most of the world that WoW takes place in) and she is basically the god of life itself, hence why she just made the arrow come "alive" and was just kinda chill and never really trying to kill Hanzo. Also she's the queen of all dragons (and IS a dragon, the "humanoid" form is just her visage which every sentient dragon can conjure) :)

So, Kiriko's mother actually trained the children of Clan Shimada, Genji and Hanzo. The two of them view Kiriko almost as a niece. When the Shimada crime family fell apart, the Hashimoto took over. It's why they are in Shimada castle in the Dragons short too. They took over Kanezaka, where Kiriko has said the people are now under her protection.

They are making a campaign mode for overwatch 2 its just coming later. This is just a theory but it could come out when the next season releases because the new hero that's releasing along side it is the leader of the enemy faction seen in the overwatch 2 announcement cinematic

She is actually one of the the strongest NPCs in WOW but the only stronger one from her is Nosdormu the keeper of time, he is a collector and maintains order of time flow in past, present and future. He can see all that happened,what is happening and what will happen. Also he doesn't spoil what will happen he will just gently guide mortals into right track.

In Overwatch 1, there were campaign missions from before Overwatch was disbanded. But they were seasonal. Once a year kind of events. Not 100% sure why they restricted the old storyline to only be played during certain times.

Single player/coop stuff should release in 2023 for OW2. Also the red dragon lady from hots hero spotlight is Alexstrasza the life-binder she is from warcraft and this was basically video when they were adding hanzo and her into hots, same with dva and genji when they fight diablo.

The dragon hanzo was fighting was Alexstrazha the Life Binder, dragon queen from World of Warcraft. Kiriko's mother is a sword master. She trained her daughter, as well as Genji and Hanzo. OK,.. the Red head fighting Genji near the end,.. That was Alexstrasza . Gueen of the dragons from Warcraft. That cinematic was titles " Dragons of the Nexus " which was to promote Hero's of the Storm. The Blizzard game that includes champions from Warcraft, Overwatch, Starcraft and Diablo.

The dragon lady fighting Hanzo is Alexstrazsa, the Dragon Aspect of Life and one of the more prominent and well known characters from Warcraft. But hey, if you're not immersed in the lore and that universe, then it's probably not easy to know at a glance.

In japanese folklore, sweets are one of the foods used to appease the kami (gods), and Inari Okami, the god whos messengers are the kitsune, has a particularly strong sweet tooth. Also, there's a particular story about a girl who was protected and possessed by a kitsune, who had an unusual craving for sweets, so Kiriko's donut addiction is accurate.

There are a lot of characters who were part of Overwatch, but then there are a lot in-game that are only Overwatch adjacent. There are many side factions between the Omnics and other organizations and a lot of them have their own characters that contribute within the lore. Winston, Soldier 76, Mercy, Mei, Tracer, Ana, Echo, Reaper, Sojourn, Torbjorn, Reinhardt, Cassidy, Genji, and Moira were all formerly part of Overwatch. Reaper was actually the original leader of it before Soldier (Jack Morrison) replaced him. Overwatch existed for decades before it was disbanded, so there is a lot of time in which characters came and went from its ranks, and it doesn't help that some of the materials within the cinematics is really inaccurate to the timeframe of events. Hanzo and Genji were part of a crime syndicate in Kanezaka, and as boys, they were trained in combat by Kiriko's mother. As they grew older though Genji showed no interest in participating in the syndicate, and led a life of carelessness which threatened the syndicate's wellbeing. As the elder son and the one expected to take over the syndicate Hanzo was tasked to deal with his rebellious brother by either forcing him to conform or eliminating him. In the end, he had to kill his brother but in doing so he became angered and returned to his clan killing everyone within the syndicate and was then forced into the shadows. With the Shimada clan in shambles, the Hashimoto seized the opportunity and took over Kanezaka, ruling with a much more aggressive and oppressive style. Kiriko, having trained with the Shimada's alongside her mother now acts as a protector for Kanezaka as part of a youthful gang of street warriors who call themselves the Yokai. Genji was found half-dead by an Overwatch team that had been investigating crime in Japan and was saved by their incredible doctors including Dr. Zeigler (Mercy) whom he developed a special relationship. He was given an ultimatum. In exchange for not being turned over to the Japanese authorities as a syndicate member, he'd be given a chance to fight alongside Overwatch, and he agreed. Eventually, he'd become part of Overwatches black ops division led by Reyes (Reaper) alongside others such as Cassidy and Moira. There is a lot of lore for virtually every hero spanning from the comics to promotional materials and in-game events which took place throughout the game's existence, but thus far the main factions represented by the characters in game consist of Overwatch, Talon, Null Sector, The Junkers, Viskar, Volskaya, and then an array of other relatively independent heroes that don't align with any specific faction, or are left to be more ambiguous like Lucio, who is a freedom fighter for his nation, but not exactly aligned with a group beyond his own banner. You also have people like Pharah who is Ana's daughter, and was never part of Overwatch herself, but did grow up to work for a security company called Helix where she received her training. As cool as the Overwatch cinematics are, they are unfortunately probably the worst source of understanding the history of the lore within the universe, but they do give enough to get a foot in the door and have a general idea.

The cinematic with the giant robot came out when they announced overwatch 2. They originally were going to have a sort of story pve type mode, and skills that could be combo'd hence the combined shield by rein and brig in there, and and putting mei's and tracer's ult's together to beat it. I'm still a little sad they didn't go through with all that.

I'm fairly certain they have it right. I recall a Behind the Scenes video with the studio that made the CGI cinematics and they mentioned that Blizzard would lend them in-game models and map locations as reference and they'd just polish them up to be assets for big budget CGI
