It’s nice to see that the guys have a sort of ‘vetting process’ for the guests they bring onto the channel, they bring guests onto the channel who have a connection with the theme of the video, like Poppy in a potato video, Dan in this video, rather than just bringing in a special guest for the sake of having someone on the video. Dan was amazing and bounced off the guys energy well and was an excellent addition to the content rather than being a bland and boring character who stood on the side, and that’s what makes this channel so special because the detail they go to to ensure the videos they are making are of the top tier quality we have been blessed to expect from them, and consistently set the bar higher and higher

@@DaxianPreston I was speaking more on his interaction and rhetoric with Dan while performing. It's a rarely talked about secret in magic, the one-on-one interaction is THE most important part of your performance, doesn't matter how well practiced you are, if you aren't charismatic and can't hold someone's attention, you aren't a magician.
@JaySay2 жыл бұрын
@@myndfields8539 Exactly; misdirection and wanting your audience to only see, hear, feel, or think what you want them to is the most important aspect. Ben did do a pretty good job, I have to think that his years on camera helps a bit, having to know about what tempo to talk at and what to say is good.
@JaySay2 жыл бұрын
@@Cheesyxable Yep, there's something special to do with it, but you're correct. There's tons of popular vid's and clips online of the same exact trick done with different things (cigarettes, water, money, etc...)

Also I do want to say that having a magician/illusionist on the sidelines is probably the worst idea possible for the normals, Barry would get distracted and just watch Dan perform with his amazing abilities, Jamie would try and perform his own ‘magic’ tricks😂😂 and Mike would try and understand how Dan manages to misdirect everyone during his little performances, and so the end results are pretty awful if we’re being honest and that is why this is possibly the best video idea that uses the format of cooking but expanding the channel in a new, exciting and different direction
