And did people really rage against the paella burrito? Man, first world problems... Part of the beauty of cooking is trying new things! I personally would love seeing Sauerkraut, Bratwurst or Sauerbraten being used in new ways (German here) What you are doing with those potatoes alone is amazing. Yeah, I've read those but I usually do not pay any attention to them :D I'm just there to enjoy the food and get inspired to do stuff myself It's exhausting really. It's „just" food. At the end of the day, it's important if it tastes good to those who eat it. Like everything, food evolves too but people do not get that :D We humans can be pretty stupid and small-minded at times, huh? The more I'm glad that they did not let them stop those news :)

You may be right. However Ben and James are professionals and even in the ultimate battles Barry, Jamie and Mike get help from them with the recipes and they get a lot of their ideas from the internet i.e. other peoples. They definitively know the rules and are thus allowed to break them. There is another thing why I deem such thinking a bit small-minded: Many good things get discovered by accident and People who are still learning are allowed to break the rules if it helps them improve. And sometimes the original is simply not to their taste so why not alter it? You say its the ignorance they don't like and that could be right. But then they are being rather ignorant themselves I think. But people like to whine and nag about things on the internet anyway :D That's why I pay them no attention in the first place I'm just here for the food :D
