the thing i love about the most about this channel is how much they engage with the community's opinions. This whole thing about them doing this again to use 'proper ingredients' for this challenge, they could justifiably say 'screw that, we are making the content we want to make and we aren't changing for you' and there isn't anything wrong with that. But they go the extra mile and try to have a humble and principled interaction with their audience. It's very rare and i love it.

I do gotta give Ben the W for Williams Pear. Here in Germany, Schnaps made with Williams pears is something very specific and usually demands a markup compared to generic fruit spritis. Hey Sorted Team! Love the homegrown herb comments and herb enthusiasm from Ben. My place is tiny too and I, and many others, in places small or large, with maybe just a few feet of communal garden, would LOVE a video and advice re how to nurture homegrown herbs in the UK or other non-sunny places (or one video for different climates). Mine just wilt & die on the window ledge - some are in supermarket pots, some in water jars, some I plant in their own pots, but not sure which ones I should crop or pot, or why. I won’t blame you Ben if you give me advice and any die - as there are so many, and we all live in different climates - but I just know you adore herbs and I want to know how to give them the best chance to live and flourish longer and how to use them at each stage of life. This and gardens or mini allotments is a Ben series just waiting to happen…

I'm not even mad about the H. Herbs are a great way to finish a dish, balance a dish, flavor a dish (you can have the H, but I'm keeping the 'u' out of 'flavor'), etc. You can take the H along with a W, it was definitely a win.

SPRIG A MINT😂 I remember how much that cracked me up in my dorm room in college. Superb job. I actually like the finagling of words like Homegrown Herbs for H, i think the major issue with Unbleached Greaseproof Paper is it's not an ingredient not that it's "unbleached" i don't think people would have been upset if you'd used Unbleached Wheat Flour etc because that's actually an ingredient, like everything in this video.

Honestly, such a better attempt than last time. There was 3-4 that was kinda shoehorned in : - Unsalted butter - Xinomavro (wine) - Williams pear - Herbs (given the opportunity to use the last ingredients, this would have been honey drizzled on top of the frangipane) But, honestly, I don't think it broke the spirit of the challenge too much.

Homegrown herbs are great! During the cooler months, on the hutch on the top of my desk sits a winter boot tray, and about 20 herb containers. With a grow light the herbs are consistent - and the cost of energy to run the light works out to less than buying one package of fresh herbs.
