Turns out campgrounds can have really bad electrical service. I know… who would have guessed.

My Wife and I have a 2108FBS(non FLX...came out the next year) and also have the same issue with the back splash. We learned our lesson on the grey water tank as you did...two days Navy showers! I have replaced the stock bumper so we can pull our jet skis to different lakes this summer. We do love our little trailer...perfect for us!!!

I think our surge protector is made by Hughs. I tells you if you have an improper ground or low voltage. It can even boost small amounts of voltage to get things up to spec

Hey! We wanted to pass on a tip for our Micro Mini Flex community. The LP quick disconnect on the out side of the trailer is for use with low... and I mean low low pressure devices. A regular Coleman type camp stove can require as much as 15-20 psi but according to Winnebago their regulators only supply .4 psi. Yes, that is correct .4 psi. Not all dealerships are aware of this, we spent weeks talking with our dealer and trying different LP fittings and hoses before finding out the psi supplied vs what our camp stove required. Please pass this info along in one of your next videos and hopefully this might save someone else the same headaches we had. Sincerely, Tom Kraesig

Yep! Picked up a hose for it and it specifically calls out removing a regulator otherwise the pressure isn’t enough. I’m not screwing with LP setups so I’ll either bring my bottles with me or use my camp stove. I’ve seen trailers burned to ashes so I’m not chancing damaging the Truma systems or torching the trailer all together.

Are you hooked up when testing appliances? or pulling off inverter?

Hey thanks for the great info on the Micro Mini FLX! We've been finding some of the same issues that you all are finding. The battery being one and the back splash being the other. Did you fix the back splash yourselves or did you get it taken care of under the warranty? If you did it yourselves how did you do it? Thanks and keep posting those great videos!!!

We had the dealership deal with it. They supposedly trimmed it and then put a piece of trim along the side to make sure it’s tacked down. We looked at other new ones on the lot and it’s quite common. Apparently Winnebago doesn’t take into account the whole expansion and contraction with temperature fluctuations. Why am I not surprised?

@@speedbumpmedia9584 Do you know how they fixed it? Did they replace the back splash or just trimmed the one in place? Thanks again for the help!

I am considering purchasing a FLX trailer. Have not been able to get information on a couple of systems. Hoping you can answer for me. #1. Does the 7 pin charge the battery while towing? If yes, how much battery charge have you gotten on various trips? #2. The solar side port for portable panel, does it tie into the charge controller or directly into the battery?
@speedbumpmedia9584 Жыл бұрын
The tow vehicle does nothing as far as charging. Just lights and brakes. There are groups out there that are for the FLX where I’ve seen some chat about the solar side port. That would be your best option. I do know it does work with the existing controller so panels with controllers won’t work if I recall other folks comments.

Only 2 amps coming in from the grid? That cant be accurate.
@speedbumpmedia9584 Жыл бұрын
Tis true. Both the surge guard and the inverter was showing 2 amps. That particular campground has horrible electric. New owners just bought it and the first thing on their list is overhauling the electric and putting in 50amp service.
@coolaaronn17 Жыл бұрын
@@speedbumpmedia9584 that's awful. If I showed up planning to run a/c that weekend i would have been upset to say the least.
@vap0rtranz Жыл бұрын
that app looks great. ... if the battery converter / charger pulled more than 2amp when back home or at another campground, then yeah what a crappy circuit at that campground. Campgrounds need to protect their circuits from overloads but capping a 30amp site at 2amp is false advertising.
@aguyandhiscomputer Жыл бұрын
You sure it's not showing how much power the converter is requiring to charge the battery? Just a thought.
@aguyandhiscomputer Жыл бұрын
Actually, just realized how low that is. The 2A is probably what the trailer is using, not what the power pole is supplying. The surge protector will only show... - error codes - voltage - hertz - power usage in amperage
