Used this method before by blocking the first 18 traces. Got rid of the horizontal lines but color fricker frequently. Saw your video and follow your led by removing the cover of the first 6 traces and seem to work. Color now stable. Thank you.

IT WORKED!!! 🔥🔥👌🏽👌🏽💪🏽💪🏽 I’m from India. I have a LG WebOS 55Inch TV which was brought from Kuwait and I was facing the same issue with my TV, the screen was flickering and colours were changing. I called up the LG Customer Service and they told me it would cost ₹500 for Visiting Charge ₹1500 for Service Charge Luckily the technician called me up asking me what issue I was facing, so I just took a video showing him the display flickering and he told me that it’s a panel issue so they will have to replace the display. I then called the LG Customer Care to enquire regarding the cost of the display and they told me “Made in Korea Display Panel will cost ₹50,000”🤦🏽♂️😵😵💫 Keep in mind my TV was brought from Kuwait hence they didn’t have the model here so they have to import it here in Goa, that’s why the panel replacement cost was so much. My parents told me we have to prolly buy new one cuz we purchased the TV itself for less than ₹50,000. I then checked on KZbin and came across your video and thought I should give it a shot. I followed each process step by step as explained in the video🙌🏽. And IT WORKED PERFECTLY!👌🏽💪🏽💪🏽🔥 THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!❤️❤️ SUBSCRIBED!💥🔥

Why did isolating the traces fixed the issue? I'd guess that covering the traces would disconnect the image completely, so I'm really curious as to why it worked. Great video!
@wisher21uk2 жыл бұрын
You block the clock lines, it’s normally only 1 clock line but covering them all does the trick, usually there’s a short in the panel causing the fault

Hi. Will it be easier to replace the tcon board itself and it would solve this problem?? Or is it the ribbon?

I was thinking the same thing. I used tape as well. Picture is much better but still has flickers a little. I was wondering if just getting a new ribbon would solve the problem completely.
@glenndaly3975 Жыл бұрын
This is a common issue with LG. More videos popping up with similar faults. The problem isn't the T-con board but the panel itself. This is the workaround as not cost effective to replace the panel
