You know, both of Sophita's children seem to inherit some of Cassandra's traits. Sure, in the beginning, they were like their mother, letting others control their fate rather than control their fate by themselves, but in the end, after realization, both of them started to act like Cassandra, being independent of the gods, refusing to listen to their guidance. If soul calibur is to blame anybody, it should blame Cassandra.

@TheJerryB3 Soul Calibur was not only originally crafted from shards of Soul Edge but in two instances, it's been shown that the sword is capable of being corrupted in the franchise's earlier days. In fact, they established in the previous game that Soul Calibur isn't necessarily a sword of good, but a sword of order, and she'll do whatever it takes to establish and maintain that order.

This ending is a very good and heartwarming ending not only for Patroklos and Pyrrha but for the series as well (from the looks of it). It just shows you how much a brother (Patroklos) is going through to save the sister (Pyrrha) he loves and cares for. But I wondered about what happened to Siegfried, Z.W.E.I., Viola, and Tira? Did they die or survive? But despite those questions, this is a very happy ending. "The legend will never die".

Soul Calibur always justifies its ways and methods in destroying soul edge by any means necessary, no matter what is the cost. It believes that it could create the perfect world, but instead, just like soul edge, it just bend the will of the user into doing its seemingly rightous way. Soul Calibur and soul edge are more alike than soul calibur thought.

When i heard that song at the end i realise that not only will it make some people cry (like i do) it makes remember all good times you had on the other sc games (i have all of them including soul edge!) Remembering beating the games with every character since from the first ever game we had played as a child. It makes you want to gather up the cases of the SC games and give them a hug (silly i know) but it makes you cry and you think of one sentence "The Legend will never die"

I think bringing back Edge Master was Kind of a Mistake. Elysium could've easily filled that role. Or they could've made her Boss Fight play out like Inferno's. As her Bar got lower, she would Switch out her Weapon and style of combat!

I feel this story mode was very rush with some parts cut. This seems to be one of the last things made during developement and they just run out of time to complete the story. At least all the really important stuff like gameplay, balancing, online, character creation was done really well to nearly perfect. :)

Actually, Inferno = Soul Edge, because whoever possesses Soul Edge is controlled by Inferno, and during Soul Caliburs II and IV, Zasalamel gave Nightmare his body at that point, making Nightmare Inferno's physical manifestation.

It’s actually the spirit of Soul Calibur. It takes the form of Sophitia to manipulate Patroklos. Say what you want about the story, but they did an amazing job showing how manipulative and ruthless Soul Calibur is; almost just as much as Soul Edge!

I'm not gonna lie, I was pleasantly surprised by the story mode. I think because I went in with such low expectations, given the general consensus of the mode, I really didn't expect to be that bothered by what's going on. Patroklos was annoying at first, but developed into an alright lad. I thought the writing could have been better, but overall it was a solid story that had more potential. The final scenes were good (though using SE at the end was confusing), and that credit music is stunning.
