I’m an INTP, and can tell you in all honesty that we view forgiveness very differently than all the other types. Forgiveness is but something that you acquire, but in fact more of a gift. You either have it, or you don’t

As an INTP, I’ve learned that forgiveness is something you do for yourself more than other people. Harboring hate and anger at others only serves to damage ourselves in time. I choose to forgive others rather quickly but that doesn’t mean that I won’t stand up for myself. “Fool me once”… that said, while I may forgive someone, I may still remove them from my life if necessary for my own safety and those I care for. If they want back into my life, the first step I expect is a genuine apology (it’s the principle). I’ve found that people who are unwilling to even ask for forgiveness, never really cared about me in the first place. I am capable of saying “I love you even if you’re not in my life anymore” and mean it.

Forgiveness is so much more than simply saying “I forgive.” It’s a skill that can be learned but not without first understanding the true nature of empathy and perspectives. I’ve never seen anyone hold a grudge like an ISFJ.

This message really touched me. I struggle very much with this idea that other people deserve my forgiveness more than I do. As I think about it however, few things are more loving than a man who freely forgives. It reminds me of the scripture in Proverbs 19:11. New world translation: "The insight of a man certainly slows down his anger, And it is beauty on his part to overlook an offense." King James: "The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression." Thank you again, for your insights.

That is great to know! My mother was an ISTJ, and she had huge difficulties forgiving people, and would even pre-judge her family members before even committing the first crime. In part of it was that her own mother betrayed her in the past. -INTP

In either scenario Joseph, you cant be forgiven. We always do the forgiving ourselves, no exception. Everyone I meet is me in another lifetime. To forgive them is to forgive myself. To forgive myself is to forgive everyone else. Where is the seperation? I am not separate from all that is. Our connection to all that is, is not dependent on good or bad activity. The feeling of forgiving another is better than the feeling of being forgiven by another. I am selfish but that's okay because I am you and you are me. Forgiveness is one of the only things that is real here. Apart from love.

I'll be one of the first to admit my faults. I'm far from perfect, and make a lot of mistakes. And yes, it's true. I am a walking failure, that is spot on. Always forgiving others, but the memory and pain remain. Funny enough, I allways analyzed myself as a black hole. Which is why I became fine, with not being forgiven, myself anymore. It'd be energy that goes to waste. So, it's all okay now. I just have to accept my part in things, and that most of what I do or am, just cannot be forgiven. I have to take peace with that. Others deserve it so much more, and I gladly give it. It's the least I could do in this...

Lol, CS, you’re at it again, those nasty INFJ’s always judging people’s character and being total failures. It is an apt judgement on your part I will give you that. I still do learn a lot of very helpful insights even constantly having to metaphysically strain the bitterness out of the dialogue. I had a depraved ENFP-sd boss who held a lot of entitlement and sacrificed her workers on a daily basis. She treated everyone like shit. As an Si demon I abandoned her and made sure to leave her cafe in ruin (to hurt her triviality vice). I checked her Facebook and it's all about self love and forgiving oneself. It's honestly disgusting how often she forgives herself and then uses her wrath on others for the most trivial, mundane reasons. It's one reason I have a hard time getting along with my pedagogue.

I do think there are objective standards for how actions should be forgiven. That’s kind of what having a sense of justice is. Like if I donate to a charity and someone won’t forgive me for it, that’s objectively wrong and unfair. The question is how objective

The only thing that is real within the field of the mind. Is the field of the mind itself. There is no objective measurements made within the mind because everything is dependent on you to observe it. You are already two layers into subjectivity but none the wiser to it. You forgot. Think of it like a toroid made of concentric circles. With your head in the middle. On the outermost layer are myriad potentialities, timelines of subtle ether not yet made manifest. Other dimensions are close at hand here. As you go closer to the inside, the possibility of form crystallises into manifestation, eventually into matter. The part that undergoes the formality of actually occuring with you as a witness is what you think of as real. But it is no less or more "real" than it's opposite. Usually humans agree on what is real through the screen, manifesting one converging timeline that everyone in society experiences. But what of the uncontacted tribes in the Amazon left alone for millennia....

I relate to Railgun with glass half empty with future of our race. But if an Ne user in my life could help me see that humans won’t destroy each other and our planet, then I could change my mind. But, what I see is humans not being responsible and good enough and will make themselves go extinct eventually… at least, I kinda hope they do. People who belive in allah (god) -in the way he choose (latest update quran and sunnah ) - will ultimately go to heaven (even if they go to hell to pay for their crimes first ) ... but people who disrespect god by disbelieving in him and or associate partners or family to him .. they are doomed to eternal punishment in hell . Crimes in islam for muslims are 2 categories 1 - crimes against god .. and he can choose to punish u on earth to remove the sins .. or punish u in hell ..or forgive you . 2 - crimes against people ...u can get punishment on earth .. u can seek forgivness from the damaged people after reversing the damage u caused to the victim or compensate them...or in the afterlife you will take from their sins as much as god judge .. Someone has to make judgements or else people would never work on their character. Judgement is not fun or enjoyable to other people, but it also makes you stronger and better. I've always improved upon myself based off of the judgements of other people. (Some of them nasty, but perhaps true)
