I always think had my dad not sent me back to Hell when i was living with him in Duarte i would know more people including this guy. Alas he moved to Compton and i moved back to Ontario. Boo.. I think i remember him in person at the clubs back in the day. Someone ruined the Sunset BLVD Palladium with that shooting back in 91 or 92. Soul train was the only place there was no gun fights on the dance floor. I still cant believe it is coming to NEW York!! Ive been in shock ever since i found out. Maybe some of these former dancers will be in attendance.

I’m lucky enough to say I was able to watch it during there last run in 00s and I enjoyed it. I can definitely tell how different that era for soul train was from the other eras. Sad that it ended like that but I’m glad I was able to watch it.

Alfie seems like a nice guy and he's a great dancer. So many of the clips in these segments show Barbara D. Scott (lady in yellow @ 1:38) who was popular during the same era. She was always my favorite and a lot of people recognized her and her dancing. She passed away a few years ago and I so wish she could have been featured on this. Other dancers have talked about how sweet she was and I would just love to hear her story and know a little more about who she was.
