They was on there every weekend for years!!! Then toured Soul Train Gang, appeared in magazines, articles etc..

Some of the dancers went on to become professional (paid) singers dancers, actresses, and choreographers, due to the nationwide exposure paid for by Don.

We went outside and played, ran, jumped around, and as teenagers we went dancing and rode bikes. There WAS no sitting around. You cleaned the house and went outside. Junk food was a luxury that we seldom ate so of course we stayed slender and trim and fit. Those WERE the days my friend.

I had the opportunity to go to Soul Train but when my parents discovered that we did not have appropriate chaperone- the deal was off. I am still crying to this day and that was about 50 years ago. What made it worst, the radio station picked another girl to go in my place and she was actually featured on TV, and she did the soul train puzzle. I am still crying!!

Yes, Don had a great business mind and made smart moves but, his competitors didn't like it, like Dick Clark he wanted to take his show and control it, stole all his great ideas to make his tv dance show look better. I'm 42, and I remember watching this with my aunts, uncle , dad, mom, and cousins from 1984-1992. I remembered my mom and uncle used to tell me how they used to cut up the dancefloor at the clubs back in the 1970s to the mid 1980s. My cousins and I really liked that 1970s/1980s vibe, everybody was just having a good ol' time. I wish now in the 2020s we have a blend of 1970s, 1980s and 1990s vibe, fashion, media and asthetics , the 2020 should kinda echo the 1920s . From the ROARING 2s(1920s), to the SOARING 20s(2020s)!

BW had the collective power to take VH-1's "Sorority Sisters" of the air after just one episode, but they helped kept shows like "Housewives of ATL" and "Basketball Wives" on the air. I sure hope because I see alot of comments about rather they showcased more light skinned compared to darker skinned, which isn't true because out of all the episodes, it seems to be pretty fair however if the person is your brother or sister, why does it matter how much melanin is in their skin? WOW! This is freaky! I’m just now finishing up re-writing a film script in which the main characters spend time at the Moulin Rouge, which includes a “Joe Louis” character. I began working on this script many years ago and during this entire period I’d never came across one single person who had even heard of the Moulin Rouge, and now to discover someone whose mom actually danced there is so cool! OMG! Another one my favorite Soul Train dancers. I have to say that her story is another testament to 'what is meant for you will happen when it's time.' It's interesting how when she wanted to be there; her grandmother wouldn't let her,...but later the opportunity presented itself again, and she just so happened to be in the 'right place at the right time'. Not many people get second chances in life so this was a true blessing for her. Shout out to Chrystal McCarey. #Love #Peace and #Soul for real.
