During that period black people didn’t follow trends they created them, no one danced or dressed like black people, everything was unique, from their hairstyles, fashion dance and music, the entire world waited to see what they were wearing, how they were dancing it was something that was special and something we were proud of, all these now grandmothers and grandfathers were employed and/or in school it was the best of times, goes to show that the children and grandchildren can never be as cool as their grandparents lol 😂

Many DJs tried promoting Black artists from the 50s on up through the 70s. But, none captured the essence of Black pride quite as much as Don Cornelius and his Soul Train "creation"! We got to see our Black beauty showcased, and the energy resonating from our TVs, in our own homes, felt like something we could reach out and touch! Much love to ALL those who made IT happen! ❤️
