A song too personal and deep for James Hetfield. It is a miracle that with all the bad that happened in his life he is still alive. he is a really tough guy. I will leave a few words from James in an interview in 2001 where he explains this song and why he composed it. “I felt I wanted to stop drinking around the time of ‘Load.’ ‘Perhaps I’m missing something.’ Everyone else appears to be constantly happy. ‘I’d like to be happy.’ ‘The Misfits are playing in town Friday night, so Saturday is hangover day,’ I’d tell myself. I’ve missed a lot of days in my life.I learned a lot about myself after a year of therapy. When you’re growing up, there are a lot of things that scare you for no apparent reason. That’s what the song ‘Bleeding Me’ is about: I was trying to bleed out all the bad, to get the evil out. I discovered some heinous things in there while in therapy. A blemish.” James Hetfield.

One of my favorite Metallica songs. So much emotion. One of their best, outside of their classic thrash songs.

James was dealing with alot of anger and addiction during this era. Honestly with him showing all these true emotions shows you how much of an artist he really is!

This is easily one of Metallica’s best concerts. Their performance of Turn the Page is one of the highlights. Definitely recommend it for your next reaction.

@@chrispergler5603 bro! Nice. Listen im alittle order. I dont know ur age. But i was 16 in 1997 i didnt have my license yet! That was my first festival/concert. If u go look on the internet the line-up was nuts that year. I saw the original RAMONES. and rancid metallica. Violent femmes it was awesome. I was right up front when Joey Ramone sang california sun and i hit a beach ball that was flyin around the pit right into his legg. He kicked it right back at us into the crowd. Amazing.
