I was adopted at 11 and spent the next 13 years struggling with all the emotions and questions that came with that experience. The moment I found peace was when I was able to recognize that: people do the best they can with what they have. We're all where we are because we made decisions that seemed right to us at the time. I had no control over and of it, and that's o.k.. Now it's my turn to do the best I can with what I have. It's all about recognizing the possibilities, and being present. Thanks for another great share, SoulPancake. Live on.

And just because we can't control things doesn't mean we can't influence them. So live, and love with all you've got!

I love this, so true. We are not meant to be perfect all the time, we are just to be there for each other. As father mother child or spouse. It is this companionship that makes us perfect.

I think it would be interesting to see a daughter's perspective on fatherhood and how her relationship with her father shaped the adult and parent she is today. I think we can all agree that many times there is a big difference between father-son relationships and father-daughter relationships.

The answer for the last question is L O V E. We might not always be able to think of a way to show it, but we do it. Somehow, we just do it. And in the end, what else matters most? :)

It's rough living with a father who can't even tell their own son he loves them or is even proud of what they've accomplished. I know he is in the national guard but even then he was never there for me growing up. My mom has always blamed him for things while he did the same toward her. He keeps telling me that I'm ignorant or stuff like that. I just need some advice on what I need to do.

GOD bless america, those brave veterans that i admire deeply , the beauty of those families. This video is a great lesson from great but simple people with a good hearth. That's the kind of dad i want to be one day if i ever have the chance.

***** Jonathan i think the only way to know if a man is or isn't a good father is by being one, i'm sorry to read that your dad did that to you, i lived the same thing but that must be in the past and try to be happy, think that the person with the biggest lost is him not you, and cut that chain of bad behavior by being a great father :-), thank you for reading :D have a good night.

what a lie, that quality makes up for a lack of quantity. Can you imagine a child having to try and discern what he wants more, quality or quantity, I think they want their parents with them as much as they could have them.

i have about men who love kids bond with them even love their a fetus with is a baby. who should they feel if mother decided at have a feotcide between viability & the time it starts acting like baby & showing signs that can feel & have sensation. they know its he body but still how should feel. the angry screaming feminist constantly reminding he could carry his own child how he feel should just be guy only doesn`t really want kids. should they just be the good boy feel happy with what every happens should he try let the baby us his to keep it worm or even find some of transferring supplements form his blood. like with blood being suck into section with sponge were then squeezed in small tubes with thin strip of porous skin at then end. just an idea. its serious question?
