When experiencing stress, it can be extremely difficult to feel present in our own lives. We go into our own heads and get caught in a loop of distracting thoughts. Rabbi Shais Taub speaks about a deep, spiritual perspective that we can use as a tool for embracing the current moment so that we actually "show up for our own lives."

Thank You! I love the way you think! Let me put it in a nutshell,how I perceive what you said,in this Sermon. There is a particular part in Gods Word that puts it in a nutshell. As you said your a religious Jew. I’m a Spiritual Christian ( by His Grace) & I quote Romans 8: 27- 33 And he that searches the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saint’s according to the will of God. 28. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29.For whom he did foreknow he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called; and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified them he also glorified. 31 What shall we say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32.He that spared not his own Son✝️ but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? 33. Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect ? It is God that justifieth. KJV Dear Sir, whether your a religious Jew or not I enjoy your Sermons very much, you have a lot of Wisdom to share, and God tells us to get Wisdom! Get understanding! God 💟✝️🕊🙏 Bless You ‘n’ Yours with Salvation. SherrilL.Carss

Will you be my rabbi to help me to internalize bitachon in a somatic way?
@SoulWords
@SoulWords 10 ай бұрын
I can try to help a little. I can’t be your sole guide. Take a bitachon walk. Go right now and move your body. Go take a walk for 10 minutes and as you walk look at Hashem’s world and notice the divine providence of every detail. That’s a good start. Don’t wait. Just a ten minute walk.

Good teaching, but depression is not a sin. People don't "give up", they are psychically wounded and need people to understand while they rest and heal, as with any illness. Demonizing them, blaming them, is like blaming people for getting cancer. Shalom.

I cannot conclude from this exposition that depression is a sin... What it does seem to me to mean is that, if you believe in God, it is an act of humility to accept the life we have today, because it is the result of a perfect divine process, and the desires we have to change our reality, are also part of that perfect plan... And this serves to acquire a new Existential Peace :)

It sounds like you're saying that everything is exactly the way it should be. So if that is the case, why pray to change anything? And it sounds like you're also saying that it is okay for us not to like something. But if we are upset or troubled by something, then we just need to change our attitude about it to be okay with how things are. Then I go back to my previous question of... why pray to change anything?? Furthermore, why take any action to change something if it is the way it's supposed to be and we just need to alter our thinking in order to be okay with it? To give you some context, I grew up with an extremely malignant narcissistic personality disordered mother and my father is a Psychopath. If I did not move to a different state from them and keep my distance, I would have killed myself years ago. What do you figure about that? Should I have stayed and been continually abused? Or should I have gone ahead and killed myself since I was being emotionally psychologically and physically destroyed and couldn't take the pain anymore? Do you actually think I just needed to change my thinking to be okay with all of that?? Seriously?

Or maybe what I’m saying is that you can do what you need to do in order to make yourself safe, but you can do it from a calm state of mind. Personally, I have discovered that there were many things that I did only after I reached a state of desperation and that maturity for me means that next time I make those choices from a calm state rather than a desperate one. Is this a helpful distinction?

The spiritual man comes out of practice and is in "hell"? The person in a group is deprived of "free will" - he thinks along with the herd of people, which is an opinion, not a personal will of the individual. It represents the opinion of all. Ah, the above people have their own opinion in all of them and they are still "together", so even if one is wrong - the other knows the "truth", they have life experience, examples and sharing with each other.
