You make the abstract concrete. You make the theoretical practical. Thank you, Rabbi.

There is so much in this presentation. I was crying in the first few minutes, the good kind of crying. I am a Jew. Every Jew could benefit from hearing this. I am not addicted to substances, but I am human and that means I am addicted to my own thoughts, feelings, beliefs and desires. This talk is not just about addiction to substances. It’s about addiction to our selfishness. Thank you so much, Rabbi. I have listened to you for many years and this shuir is the best one I’ve ever heard!

If boredom results from not having resentments and just loving eachother, let's do it! Hate and attacking eachother, as viciously as possible, shouldn't be a national sport anyway, but that's what it's become over the past few decades, it seems! This is the kind of boredom the world needs. It's called "peace". 💕 "Blessed are the peacemakers....". Go Rabbi Taub. 💝Thank-you for this. 👼

Eleven minutes into this and I’m already loving it. I’ve been sober over 43 years and take a wild guess what I finally got in the mail yesterday.. yep my hard copy of The Torah (after approx 3 months listening to Rabbi Friedman). 😊

Thanks so much !! You (and your book) is a huge inspiration for me to do my own videos on KZbin about addiction and my recovery journey etc . (And has helped me a lot in my own recovery ) . The ability to have the 12 steps in my life (and saving my life) and connecting to them in a spiritual manner meshing so well with yiddishkeit is truly a blessing

Process of redemption from slavery is theee-step process ... King Slomom .... Song of Songs. Chapter 1 Vers 4 Pull me up. We will run after you. The King has brought me into his innermost Chambers. 🤍🩵💚 three phases of redemption.

What if my addiction is growth addiction and I try WA - workaholic anonymous and felt like I was getting addicted to meetings or focusing/learning about concepts to escape my emotions?
@SoulWords7 ай бұрын
yes, that happens. think of it this way: anything you use in order to avoid reality is an addiction. "We didn't get sober in order to go to meetings."--Bill W.

@@SoulWords thank you. should I focus on just being present and in my life instead of 12 steps because of this?
