I'm fortunate enough to have had an SP1, which was great, but 20 years ago. And in my garage, I have 2004 RSV 1000 R Factory, with just 1,600 miles on it, which I picked up recently from a collector. Mint, out the crate condition. It looks amazing in the flesh. Sits next to my Monster 1100Evo with Termi's. I just need more time to ride them! The Aprilia is a special bike now, should be in a factory. The Honda was much easier to ride though.

Not a good comparison considering you have restricted the RsvR with baffles and the sp2 doesn’t, remove the baffles and do it again 👍

Well, actually no. Honda has baffles inside of the pipes and it is closed as much as possible. So both bikes in the same conditions. Actually I’ve tried RSV without baffles and it just more loud but the character of the sound is absolutely the same.

my '07 1000r T sounds great with baffles on on the carbon slipons but I can tell the Honda sounds more refinned while the aprilia sounds more mean. During riding the airbox sound might make diffrent noise from one to the other, I haven't ridden the SP-2 but I was looking to buy it prior to the Aprila Tuono just for the sound but than I wanted a v2 naked...

Thanks for the comment! I was looking for naked RSV but didn’t find one in a good condition.

@@alexgrey9866 Don't mention it. Mine is the Tuono factory and I have to say that the BMW S1000XR was so much fun to ride while this one scares the #### out of me while I open it fully at high revs and it makes me work on it to get it running(steering takes some effort with the 190/50 rear) while the beemer was so easy to ride, it was full spec with up&down quick shifter, electronic suspension etc. I rode it for cca 2h only but I loved it. With this one the gear box is like 12 speeds, when you shift from one to another I can feel it making a nice click-click and if not done properly you are gonna find neutral between many gears.*This make me think twice before getting a Healtech QS for it. After this instead of using the blinkers I hit sometimes the horn which is always amuzing, last time I was at a pedestrians crossing and while turning because of the honk every one stopped so I just kept on going:)) The throttle spring is very hard so I will check that out, I am not sure if anyone can twist the throttle just with two fingers. The advantage over the inline 4 is the addictive sound at low revs, I could listen for it the whole day say between 2-3k rpm. If you open it fully, with the claimmed 139hp it goes so fast through revs that I don't have time to enjoy the sound, I must concentrate on the road and enjoy the 8k+ rpm amazing sound which lasts only for a moment because I am already at the next corner. Very fast as you can expect from the specs. I get over 150mph without any issues in just a little past quarter mile or more, though is naked I got a tall Puig screen. I can ride it the whole day witout any issues. One just needs a test ride and decide for yourself about it. How many miles has the SP-2?

@@truthseeker4823 Thanks for sharing this very nice and interesting experience! Very useful for those who has never tried the inline 4 cylinder bikes or V2 and wondering "How is that... riding those bikes.." SP-2 is just 14k miles, but that was done with original pipes. Bike came to me in 100% original state. That slipons are just installed.

At the end of the day, I know they’re not the same and I know that one’s better than the other due to materials but pretty much looks sounds the exact same. The app looks updated Honda should sue lol

Do not think so. These pipes came together with zzr 1400 of my friend from Japan. Then it was adopted to VTR.
