I used the Siless sound deadening on my Tacoma and it works awesome! Well worth it!! My cab sounds like a quiet room and the sound system quality is greatly improved!!

Well worth the money. Plan to do the same on my Land Cruiser

Perfect! Simpler than what I was imagining. I think I'll put some kind of insulation between the horizontal bars to make the back wall flat. Ish. I'll also use a velcro-attaching carpet instead of the polymat.

Glad to hear! I helped my truck a ton with road noise. Sad I waited so long to do it haha.

I plan on doing this in my extended cab Chevy. Already have the material. Trying to reduce the diesel rattle and exhaust drone. Turning the radio up helps. Wife doesn’t like either.😵💫

I never realized how loud my cab was without it until after it was done haha. Such a big improvement!

I have a 16 sr utility access cab tacoma , planning to do a 1inch bodylift soon and it appears the interior backseat panel needs to come off as part of it, so im thinking ill have some sound deadening installed at the same time in there. Do you know if theres a certain maximum thickness of sound mat that will fit in there? Thickness size to avoid?
@Adv4x4 Жыл бұрын
If you are planning to install the plastic trays back in there I think the main thing to watch is to keep it off the surfaces where it will be mounting.

How many square feet did you end up using in total?

You didn’t say how much it reduced sound. Did you test it with a meter?
@Adv4x42 жыл бұрын
Judging by my ear meter it helped a ton 😂 wish I would have done it sooner.

Don't ever use blue shop towels on painted or glossy surfaces as they contain grit. Also, methyl alcohol is better to use than mineral spirits as the alcohol doesn't stink like the mineral spirits do.. Regardless, make sure you have a fan going for ventilation. As far as the grey matting, I would put it up with some 3M super 77 adhesive as it will look neater than using those pins.Personally I would put the soundproofing in the roof first as that's the panel closest to your ears.
