@@liamhahn6353 if it’s for their newer stuff, set it on the lead channel, set the drive to red, crank the mids, raise treble a bit and the key part is presence. Get presence right. If it’s for their earlier stuff, set it to the brown channel, crank the drive knob, scoop mids.

they did use reverend for other videos, for Green Day without busting, Smashing Pumpkins without busting and Royal Blood BY busting (which detractors seem to hate despite it clearly being better then the without busting)

Saki Miyu the pumpkins doesn’t count in my mind since it’s a Billy Corgan signature. It’s not really about reverend, I just like it when they look at brands that the artist doesn’t necessarily use to try and find the right tone. I understand why they do, it’s not a criticism, just my preference as a viewer. I like every videos these good guitar lads make. I can’t imagine why anyone would be a detractor.

The g&l would've been a better choice imo. I own one of those and it's my best sounding guitar by far! The pickups just growl your face off. It also has a mahogany body so it's probably closer to a les paul.

I LOVE the bass knob on the Reverends. I find it is particularly effective into a fuzz face type circuit; it really breaks up when dimed, and you can roll it off for cleaner tones without the loss in volume.

Dear god the ignorance...They are clearly aware that Malia uses a Gibson Les Paul in every album and has Epiphone/Gibson Les Paul signatures...so they pretend as though the pickup is literally the only important thing when it comes to tone and pick a guitar SO different in every way imaginable from a Les Pau because it has a "humbucker" (of some sort...who knows what model lmfao) and a P90. If this was the case people would literally just buy a budget Ibanez and slap some EMGs in it and call it a day, cuz who needs things like quality wood construction, proper bindings, solid mahogyny with maple tops...nah, let's just grab something in the same price range with "a humbucker" smh -___-

Sound like trivium without busting the bank. Would love to see how you get the 5150 sound on the cheap. Emg loaded should be fairly easy on the cheap. Bea do corey, and matt do matt. Would be pretty rad. Bit of shogun, ascendancy, strife, etc. Probably easier to stick to 6 string stuff like ascendancy, strife, crusade, vengeance falls, in waves, etc. Or 7 stuff with shogun, silence in the snow and sin and the sentence. Most of the 6 stuff is drop c# bar early stuff iirc. And 7 stuff is all b# 7 for newer, with shogun being b 7

For Richard's rig get an EMG loaded ESP, an american amp that can get his Mesa tone, a wah, whammy, probably a diezel VH4 and some other stuff For Paul's rig, get a les paul or a Musicman Axis, maybe a blackstar or something that gets an ENGL tone, and that might be all you need

The first 3 albums doesn't really need more of a rig. Just a different one. Honestly just swap out the katana for an evh 5150 and swap out the guitar for something with higher output pickups and there you have it

8:47 Bonsai is switching different ts circuits via relay and by a processor. All analog and its not just different shape EQ ts's. There are 9 different circuits. Had it disassembled, it is pretty complicated.

It's a bass contour knob. All the way up is the full low end response. Turning it down filters out the low end, without affecting the volume or other frequencies. It's good for tightening things up.

I just bought a new Lee Malia RD Artisan earlier this month and it's fuckin' great. I lucked out finding one still new since they were discontinued 3 years ago. And talked the shop down to $600 +tax. BMTH are definently not the same anymore but this guitar is capable of any tone and style anyways. It's great

Two les pauls or SG's, i know they used to use Gibson RD's and one did have a black SG, they now both use hagstrom fantomen which are based on the RD they used to use for amps they should use oranges cos that's what the nameless ghouls use and for pedals probably a phaser, a transparent overdrive and some delay

A pity you couldn't get your hands on an Epiphone Ltd Ed Lee Malia Signature Les Paul Custom Artisan...I bought the last one available in OZ last christmas after it had hung up in the shop since 2015. An amazing guitar.

SRone45 Nirvana is easy - squier strat with humbuckers, any fender amp with decent clean and boss ds1 + ehx small clone for pedals
