this video is confusing because his tone for the raconteurs is actually way different than it was for the white stripes. the white stripes he was trying to make up for only being a two piece. so it was lots of noise and messy tones. the raconteurs is more refined but still vintage sounding with more expensive gear.
@CorbCorbin
@CorbCorbin 5 жыл бұрын
He just released his own video on the pedals he uses, because that Plasma Fuzz just came out with an upgrade. His Bee Fuzz is over $300. He had three pedals. It’s on his channel. Those cheap guitars he used to use aren’t so cheap anymore. He uses vintage gear to record, as well as newer tech.
@CorbCorbin
@CorbCorbin 5 жыл бұрын
jhmcwha Have you seen his video yet? He shows the three pedals he’s currently using, and plays songs from every band he’s been in.
@wheresallthezombies
@wheresallthezombies 5 жыл бұрын
CorbCorbin yeah. But thats him trying to sell some pedals. Lol. It’s all relative. At the time he was using cheap gear to get those tones. The only reason they’re expensive now is because of him. If he hadn’t come around all that stuff would stilll be cheap.

Did you watch Jack White’s video he released just recently? He plays stuff from multiple bands using three different pedals. It’s basically a demo for that Plasma Fuzz V2, that was a co-release with his brand, but he uses the other pedals too.

100%, thought the same thing. The POG is sick - didnt know it could do so much for a riff like Blue Orchid - but it’s the lead with the POG that does so much for his uniqueness. Oh well. Still a pretty rad demo

The tone is kinda off and is just not powerful enough. This may sound stupid, but the reason that the Jack White tone on a budget and his tone, in general, is so powerful, is because the gear he uses just isn't that expensive so he has to push everything he has to the limit to make it sound good whereas in this video expensive pedals as well as guitar and amp where used

@@wingracer1614 [ETA: not sure what this means "Whiskey comes from Ireland and about 3/4ths of what comes from the US." - are you saying that 3/4th of the US spirit is "whiskey? or Ireland produces about 3/4 of what the US does? ] US distillers use the spelling "whiskey", and as "bourbon" is primarily a US product, in the context of the Comment above, it should read ".... the other's a whiskey." I have just been to check - it seems that Canadian and Japanese distillers use "whisky", maybe some other countries do too, but they are bit players compared to Scotland and the US.

@@pulaski1 What I mean is that about 3/4 of the whiskey from the US uses the e but there are some brands that do not for instance Maker's Mark, one of the best selling brands in the world does not use the e. Then there is India which makes about as much whisky as the rest of the world combined so by volume, whisky comes from India. As for origins of the words, whisky is from Scotland, whiskey is from Ireland.

It's actually "bour bon" and no, it is not a whisky (or whiskey), but bourbon.
