in the next update can we get more controls over user access controls? example, for a person (non-admin) using their personal monitor mix let them log in and see only the aux channels that are relevent to them where they can then save view group settings (local) to make it simple for that user. Ie log in and show their monitor mix by default not the main mix.

Got mine... love the preamp, very silent.. i see that the early ui 12 and 16 series are at somepoint problematic but trust me... the ui24r is in a different level.

6 years have passed and until TODAY we have not had an update for ui16!! what a shame...

Does this platform have Dante interface? How do you get this into a Dante Network, or Vmix computer with all channels into the a console? What is the best midi for this interface? is there a midi vs a computer use?

i am having trouble setting up mtk recording. Every time i try and patch an input to mtk recording it won't play threw my monitors as I'm recording. also it won't playback when i activate soundcheck. I don't know if i am patching incorrectly or if there is a setting preventing me from hearing threw main monitors or its simply a defective unit since i bought it from eBay b stock.

Its ok, I think its been figured out that we can get five stereo mixes if we utilise the headphone outs as well. Had a go through this desk last night with bass, e-drums, keyboard rig and vocals. Sounds really good, and the interface for monitor mixes is great as well. Very easy to connect.

You can technically have 6, there are 8 mono Aux Outputs, you can "stereo link" them so that's 4 Stereo IEMs here. Plus two regular stereo headphones outputs too.

Soundcraft Ui16 and Ui12 have not been updated since January 2018. They are still at version 1.0.7548. There are several bugs that I reported to technical support without ever being answered. I don't recommend these two models.

Was very apprehensive about trying out the ui12. Much to my surprise it has been a flawless, easy to use bit of kit. Much more keen to upgrade to the ui24 than I was before. Sorry to hear your having troubles, it's horrible having to deal with issues that affect the results you're after. I haven't even tried adding a WiFi boost, so long as I'm within 35ft when I can't get line of sight, it's all good. Any further and the html5 page wants to refresh, which also is no big deal and does not stop music or shut off fx processes (AFS, fx, etc). I'll definitely be getting on to a 24 soon as a need presents itself.

Two serious problems: on my iPhone (small view) the Gain cursors do not move: you hear the sound increase and decrease, but the cursors remain fixed on the screen! In addition, often, turning the iPad (large view) the Aux screen does not recompose completely ... I have to close the browser and reload. Imagine what a nightmare with the audience ahead!

@@viames I have not tried with iPhone yet, works on my Android phone but the screen displayed view doesn't work for me either as a first choice appliance to use as controller. On the iPad I find locking the screen from rotating spares me the frustration of the display changing and works really well. Sounds like the problem you've been having has to do with the device in use rather than the ui itself.

Am a little disappointed with the Ui16..I had no idea it can not record multi track or even be used as an interface!! Am selling mine I just got for only $280 so I can buy a berhringer x12...sorry soundcraft 😡

Not true; there were some issues in the early UI series, but the UI24r is a completely different design and has totally different preamps that are arguably better than the Si/Vi preamps.

I agree with James Fry I haven’t had any problems with our UI24R concerning noisy microphone inputs I have 10 sennheiser ew300 G3 (wireless) and also a Shure MX 418 connected to it and we dont have any problems with noisy mics. Took me a while to find the right frequency to run these mics so i wouldnt get any interference (dont have a antenna splitter) but now it works just beautiful. Best investment ever
