Andre Gailani I hate to say it, but I’ve thought the same thing. To be completely honest, I also suffer from depression and Chris was still alive through this performance. His decision most likely was spontaneous when he was all alone, an overwhelming urge to satisfy the irrational desire that flew over him.

You can’t compare yourself like that. You have no idea how other people cope

also the ones who have decided to commit suicide seems to be happier after they have made decision which will end the pain the suffer.. so just by looking any person is impossible to say what will happen next.. only thing matters is inside the head and only one person knows that is yourself.. I hope you are in good care with your depression and you'll get over it as many of us can do one day.. but it's different story for all of us..

I've purposely avoided watching videos of this show because I knew it was going to be sad to watch,,, not sure why I decided to watch it now but wish that I didn't. Rip to the legend!

I’m a local stagehand and the guy I worked with today was the stage manager for them since their reunion. He had the final set list taped to the inside of a road box. The last song was supposed to be Beyond the Wheel but it was crossed out. Chris came off stage to him and asked “what do YOU want to hear?” And he requested Rusty and Slaves. Beyond honored to have heard some stories of him and Chris.

He gave us all of himself. It’s always sad when someone you’re a fan of dies, but this one is the one that hurts the most. I didn’t know him (save for the time I was a teenager and accosted him after a Soundgarden show, but he was gracious and handled it better than I did). So many years, bands and solo albums, he really did give us everything. So beautiful, so talented, and golden vocal cords. I wish he could have made it through, and I wish he’d had a different way of getting through. But what do I know, I just know he left us a legacy of talent.

At a loss for words, his voice brings power to mind and how to use it. I just can’t believe it. Heart broke. His creative ability was like no other. The tuning he would do for guitar just amazing. His children, no one feels good from a man who lifted so many up.

Saw soundgarden twice. First opening for voivod in a smallish club in LA. Promoting loud love. Short time later opening for Danzig at the long Beach arena? Soundgarden absolutely blew everyone away both shows. I felt bad for Voivod after soundgarden made everyone in that room wet. Cornell was an absolute beast that first show. Both actually but that first show everyone in that room seemed like a Virgin stuck in the headlights of Cornells viciously powerful stare. Insane shows.

I will never forget driving to work the next day in the suburbs of Detroit and hearing on the radio that Chris died at the MGM Grand from Suicide. I did not even know they was in town, as they are one of my favorite bands. I am still distraught to this day that Chris is gone. He was such a beautiful human and had a wonderful soul. May he always RIP.

EVERYONE The next time you meet your favorite musician, or any for that manner, ask them to please never take their own life, you never know who's words will matter most in someone's time of dying.
@rilenixx4 жыл бұрын
Yea because thas just what Id want to say to my favorite musician if I ever had the chance of meeting them! Having one chance and limited time to say one thing. "Hello Maynard James Keenan, please never take your own life. Ok bye." Cmon now. Cornell was one of my favorite musicians of all time. I honestly get tears in my eyes seeing this performance. Depression is real and absolutely terrible. That being said, going up to every musician you can and telling them to never take their own life makes no sense. None.
@ImSail4 жыл бұрын
@@rilenixx It's just something to do, just because you don't want to doesn't mean you have too. I'll still say it to everyone I meet, cause who knows if you saying something won't be the thing that stops them from doing it?
