Since you'll be using Bluetooth, bypassing the D/A converter sitting inside these units, the source is no longer important. It could be your smartphone, A306 or this M300, they will all sound the same.

​​@@masterazlan6999Not just the M300 dude. Any dongle that's that expensive, like the FC6, Ru7 etc will sonically beat daps below 500$. Speaking from experience. You'll have to really dig deep into your budget before you finally find a dap that sounds on the level of those dongles. Simple mathematics. You're not just paying for the dac chip. You're basically paying for a phone with said dac chip and amplification circuit.

@@Gadgetibles Without thinking twice, I would get the Shanling M3 Ultra. Can't beat its performance at that price. If you stretch your budget higher, then I would get the HiBy R6 PRO II

The dap market isn't for you clearly, if you use a dongle dac then a dap isn't marketed towards you. Small portable daps are for those not wanting to hook up things to their phone for on the go, larger daps are more for home use.
