If you want to start at the beginning, it wouldn't be from the Singer show. It'd be his earlier work like My Beauty, My Swan, etc. He was in other competitions before The Singer in China. I absolutely love your reaction. I so agree with everything. I can’t stop smiling no matter how many times I hear the same song. I love too that you are really taken by his stage presence, his cheeky playfulness because he knew he was going to blow Vitas out of the water. You would not believe how many reaction people do not even comment on his stage presence I knew nothing about singing techniques when I starting listening to Dimash but I knew instantly he was awesomely specially so I have been listening to as many vocal coach reactions as possible so I could learn what he does that makes him so special. So many don’t actually tell me anything but I love the ones who do. Of the very many I have listened to over the last couple of months I have only subscribed to two and now you are my third (and only male). I love everything about your reaction, wanting to go from the beginning and do the journey properly. If I ever come down from my Dimash “high” enough to bring myself to listen to other vocalists, I will try some of the others you speak highly of and listen to your comments on them. A really moving performance from 2017 is his performance of Adai+Adidau from the Bastau concert. For Dimash, his dream is to share his Kazakh 🇰🇿 heritage with the world. He loves his country and people at a deep level. Performing these songs on a massive scale in his home country obviously made him soo emotional, its a wonderful, wonderful moment to witness. Plus, seeing hundreds of dombra (traditional Kazakh instrument) players doing their thing together is a spine-tingling experience. Having said that, watching Dimash is never short of spine-tingling moments 😂😂😂!

This series is called “The Singer 2017”. The next song in order is “Show must go on “ by Queen. Then “Autumn Strong”. After that is “Uptown Funk”, which doesn’t show any special vocal ability but Dimash is having fun. Then it’s “Daybreak” and you must watch that one from Gloria Wu’s channel because she gives such an interesting background story. Then you get to “adagio”, “All by myself”, “Daididau”, “Unforgettable Day” (his composition), Confessa and Diva Dance”, I am missing a few, and it ends with a “Tribute to Michael Jackson”, where he sings in a duet and has a drum solo. The last song of the series was the final concert and is called “Give me love”, a very touching Kazakh song. Every one different, everyone so great!!

It was 2nd episode, so 3rd episode would be " Show must go on" If you want. This was first English song in this competition, so his English is not good but performance just amazing👍. No, backstage they are not his parents, but they are other contestants and their managers. As this is competition of Well-established and professional singers on invitation so famous elderly singers are also invited and Dimash was the youngest (22). The gentleman who pumped his hand in the air at the end is Dimash's father.

Just a little FYI: the man at the end who gives a fist pump in Dimash's father, Kanat. Di didn't know he was there and I read that Di said if he knew his father was there he wouldn't have been that flirty!! I love that little story! Also, you have an amazing journey ahead of you in Dimashland!! As for next in your journey I would say to follow the Singer episodes then just follow as he grew from there. He will amaze you evert time. The people backstage were contestants on "The Singer" 2017. All were professionally singers, except Dimash. He was invited as a dark horse. S.Dimash was the first performer and did S.O.S. he got up the next morning a star in China, where the show was filmed. Dimash unbelievably came in 2nd! I've heard due to something about a Chinese citizen had to win! Whatever...it brought Dimash to the attention of China and from there the world!!!

Everything you said about Dimash could be said about Igor Kurtoy.go back to the end of sinful passion when the audi3nce was clapping and you said they didn’t show enough reaction to the performance, but in the front row was a man that stood up for a standing ovation. This was important because he was igor. Sometime near that occurrence Igor came out of retirement to mentor, collaborate, compose, producer David maybe even do the performance arts that are sen from sinful passion forward. He is also dimashs pianist.just as you see greatness in Dimash so is Igor. Igor wrote olympics for dimash for this occasion for the Olympic sports men and women. Igor came and offered his services to Dimash. He offered Dimash the choice of 10 of his songs to sing. This was a big deal financially because of copyright laws and monitory cost of using someone else’s songs. So far Dimash has used at least five and Igor has also written at least two of the songs Igor wrote for him: olympics and a few weeks ago I Miss You. Everywhere they perform there is performance arts so it’s either igors doings or their collab as Dimash directed one of his documentary music videos. They’re a team that genius stuff happens when they’re together. Igor is worth something like 24 billion dollars.

You missed the ending. His father was hiding in the audience and Dimash after singing noticed his presence. He ran up and hugged him. Then asked his Dad if his sing ing was good. Can you imagine how humble he is wondering if his performance was good enough. I love his character. Any of the songs from the Chinese Singer would be good. Adagio, Daybreak, Show Must Go On.

I began watching Dimash from The Singer 2017. As the others have said, it was great to listen to how he progressed from his first appearance on that show to where he is today. There is also a series of short videos called "The Ultimate Dimash Guide." It even begins with Dimash and his parents when he was two years old. His grandparents started taking him to piano lessons when he was three. They learned that he had perfect pitch at that young age. He won his first piano competition when he was four. I watch the whole Singer 2017 performance including the other singers. They were so kind, caring, and concerned for Dimash. They took him under their wings and made him so welcome. He became ill and lost his voice the day before he was to sing "Daybreak." They had to take him to the hospital for throat injections but they did little good. One of the other singers bought an expensive medication to help soothe his throat. He still performed but you could see the pain in his face just before he began to sing...and sing he did. He was the first to sing in the first episode (SOS), and you could hear him improve with each performance. He only spoke Kazakh and a little Russian. His first four songs were in French (SOS), Russian Opera 2, English (The Show Must Go On), and Mandarin (Autumn Strong). By the way, I cheated and paused the video at the beginning so I could see your eyes, and you are so handsome. I understand your reasoning for the shades & pay no attention to what anyone thinks. They look great on you, kind of like your signature look. Thanks again for sharing Dimash with us. You make it seem like the first time for us all over again.

Chinese show 'The Singer' is a competition show for professional singers, only the audience votes. All contestants on the 2017 series were Chinese except Dimash who was invited as a 'wild card' contestant. Dimash was also the youngest at age 22. Dimash showed an interest in music about age 5. Probably because his parents are both in the business - his mother is an opera singer and his father is a music producer. Dimash has a Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in music and is currently enrolled for a Doctor's degree. He was offered a position in a Kazhk Opera and declined the offer because he wanted to perform all types of music. He is less known in the US because he elected NOT to sign with a music producer/company, he wants full control of his music. By the way, in case you don't already know - he has 'perfect pitch' !

Now back to the timeline;After SOS in Episode 2 came this performance Opera 2 which by the way is cover of Vitas the original singer an amazing Russian singer with also a super human range you see the original version sometime in the future. Sinful Passion was actually perform a year later in 2018. Now I recommend you follow the I am Singer timeline so continue with Episode 3 A cover of Queen and the great Freddie Mercury and his first English performance “ The Show Must Go On “ in my opinion is the best cover of this song I have ever heard,now haven’t said some people complain the his English wasn’t perfect,yes he does mispronounced a couple of words but something to consider he knew very little English at the time ,I saw an interview of him he said all he knew how to say was “My name is Dimash “ ; also he had a week to learn this song,he did it Phonetically. After Episode 4 The very emotional beautiful,Chinese song “Autumn Strong”, I recommend you see it out of Gloria Wu channel for back story, explanations of lyrics,English subtitles and best of all Copyright free. Keep going until finish all Episodes in I’m Singer but always used Gloria Wu and or Dimash’s channel or you’ll be at risks of a copyright strike to your channel.

😂 People are always amazed when they hear this song by Dimash. I discovered him with this song in 2017 too! I was searching for Vitas (original singer of Opera 2) and accidentally stumbled apon this video. I watched it thinking no way is anyone going to sing this like Vitas. It was shocking because Dimash sung it even better. After that, I searched for everything available but unfortunately, he had only 2 videos up. You are lucky because now he has over 160 songs available on youtube and you won't have to wait like me! 😍😂🤣 If you're going to go in order, I suggest you watch some of the videos from Gloria's channel. She has wonderful back stories to a few songs from the competition. ❤

Dude! I'm 1000% all in if you are going to follow his timeline! I Love this stuff! I'm sure other people said it already and told you that next in line is "Show Must Go On" Cover. However, let me add a bit of necessary info. Ok so this TV show is a competition called "Singer" or "I am a Singer" out of China. It's unique in format because it's a competition between already established well known seasoned singers from China many of whom were award winners. Dimash is from Kazakhstan and so he's not Chinese, he didn't speak the language, he was a complete unknown in China, and he was only 22 years old. Dimash was actually lucky to get on the show and alot of things had to fall into place before he got on. I could tell you the story but it would take a couple of paragraphs so....another time. At any rate, when he performed SOS, he was the first one to perform on the first night of the new season. Neither the audience nor the other singers knew anything about him. I think one singer saw a KZbin video but that was it. The Chinese "Singer" show has no judges. The way it works is that 7 different artists have their own "Music Partner" who is basically introduces the song and artist to the audience before every performance, and they are basically there to support the artist.....like a buddy I guess. All the "partners" are singers as well, outside of the show. Dimash's Music Partner, Aray, also served as his interpreter. Each night the audience of 500 people vote by ballot for their top three performances. The person with the most votes wins the night. The person with the least number of total votes after 2 consecutive weeks leaves the show..... but they have a chance to come back later. The show adds other singers as they go. They constantly give other artists the opportunity to join the show but the catch is that they have to get enough votes for them to stay. So the reason I tell you this is, backstage faces sometimes are recognized week after week and then sometimes you see a new face. So to reiterate the situation.... On the very first episode, Dimash was a unknown Kazakh boy, singing an obscure French Song, on a Chinese TV show, against seasoned popular Chinese stars, for an audience who's language he didn't speak. He was really nervous though he managed to hide it pretty well. You already know he smashed SOS out of the park. What you may not know is that he got instant stardom in China because of it. His Webo account (sort of Chinese twitter) gained 2 million subscribers in the first week. The video itself had 600 million views. Astronomical number....crazy. And, he was no longer allowed to go anywhere without body guards. All of this was pretty nerve racking for him, but he kept it together. He was away from his family and had been living in China for 3 or 4 weeks. He had a friend with him but was missing home and his family quite a bit. So for Opera 2 performance, Dimash's father decided to fly out to China to stay with him. Only they didn't tell Dimash that he was coming because they didn't want to disrupt his performance or make him lose focus. So, to your question, All the people you see back stage are contestants and contestant partners. However, you can see Dimash's Father at minute 6:46 and also minute 9:17 of your video. This is before Dimash knew he was there. After the song, when Dimash is thanking the band and the audience he notices his father out of the corner of his eye. And so, the hug he gives his father is something to be seen. Here's a video....take a second and watch it. Great reaction again thanks. Reading lower down a Dear called Marie-Josee Paulzak has it in chronological order in The Singer 2017, which is where it started. Next is Show Must Go On, Queen cover. Then Autumn Strong, but from Gloria Wu's channel as she has added the backstory to this song, then Adagio, Uptown Funk, Daybreak, Daididau, Unforgettable Day, Confessa and The Diva Dance, Give me Love. Also missing a couple here but these are all from The Singer 2017 in China. This is where Dimash suddenly appeared out of nowhere as a wild card entry to the show. By the way, The Singer is for professional and established singers which was a massive challenge for him as he was still very young, 22 years old, and a total outsider. He came from Kazakhstan to support him. While he was thanking the audience he saw his father in the audience. ..epic. He said he wouldnt be so cheeky if he knew his father was in the audience😊 This song is Vitas song and he was not too happy when he heard Dimashs version of his song...Dimash are not allowed to sing this song ever again. The song is about some one that is alone in his house during the harsh winter in Russia. The wind "howling" around the corners of the house is teasing him being lonely. Please excuse my English. In each performance there is something spectacular that you had not heard before ... even a dancer is the blessed boy ... He is quite a show and all live ... Love that you’re going through the journey from the The Singer. (Eventually I’d like you to watch some of his performances as a teenager). The people you’re seeing are his fellow contestants though there is a shot of his father at the end punching the air. They are all well known Chinese artists and he was the only non Chinese contestant. He was invited as a wildcard entry and the youngest. He didn’t speak any Chinese when he arrived and was away from his family and country for a very long time. The other contestants were very kind to him and some long term friendships have been established. I also hope you get to know through your journey the man behind the voice. I heard the composer or performer of Opera 2 threatened to sue Dimash if he sang it again, he was so jealous of this fantastic performance! His father was waiting to surprise him after the song. Dimash is so cheeky in this, I love it, lol! His father was hiding in the audience, they showed him several times, and the people backstage were other contestants. The band "Lion" is shown a lot, (one of the guys with "the hair", lol,) they are EXCELLENT as well!
