When running it in stereo, is the delay true stereo, or is it the same signal sent out of both channels?
@johncbeer2 жыл бұрын
@@skyviewdesign You've probably got your answer by now, but just in case: All one series pedals are true stereo, routable however you want. By default they auto-sense - sum to stereo if both jacks are used, sum to mono if one is used - but you can change routing in the Neuro editor, say at a live gig you wanted to split the same mono signal to two external devices. On a side note about the Neuro Editor; I love how with the One Series you can download and/or create presets from other similar pedals. You can put anything from the Ventris or Nemesis on the Collider. Plus I have effects from the LA Lady and Kingmaker on my Aftershock.

Does the delay and reverb act independently or are there any provisions for "delay into reverb" or "reverb into delay", or any kind of cross mixing them? Thank you, nice device, nice video.
@sweetwater2 жыл бұрын
Hi philip. Each of the Collider's independent engines can either be a Delay or a Reverb. So, not only can you change the order, you can also have two Delays or two Reverbs in a preset. -_Daniel_
@sweetwater2 жыл бұрын
Hey, Philip! Thanks for your interest, and great question. It depends on exactly what you mean, but you definitely can change the way they interact with one another. Changing the pre-delay and trail settings will give you more separation or interaction between the two to start off with, but you can additionally change the order that the engines are processed by using the unlock button on the Neuro Desktop Editor. Default is delay before reverb, but you can switch that to reverb to delay, or you can run two reverbs or two delays instead. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions. I picked up one of these used from a local store, previous to it I only had digitech Polara, Polara & Nautila, for use on a synth, and while the Obscura and Nautila the Polara just downt do anything for me. However, this Source Audio Collider, really is utterly gorgeous reverb and delay independent of eachother, and combined.. well... watch the vid.

@sweetwater4 жыл бұрын
Hi Derp Senpai. You can use the Neuro Desktop Editor to "Unlock" the 12 engines so that both the Delay side and the Reverb side each can use any of those 12 engines. But there are no additional engines (like there are in the Nemesis Delay). You can also hold the CONTROL INPUT button while turning the Engine Selector knob to "Unlock" the choices. This allows you to have two delays or two reverbs at once. Thanks for watching! -_Daniel_

Hi, Don. Yes, the Collider has MIDI capability so a MIDI foot controller could be used to access presets. The Matthews Effects Futurist or Tech 21 MIDI Mouse pedals would both be good ones to check out for that. Thanks for your interest! Will this thing also do "ping-pong" delay?
@sweetwater3 жыл бұрын
Hi, GreenDrink Guy. It won't do a ping-pong by default, but it is possible. It has a mode called Split Stereo. When you're in that mode, the two sounds you have selected are sent to different outputs. You would basically need to assign a delay to the reverb side of the pedal so that you would have two delays running together. Then one would be sent to the left out, and the other would be sent to the right out. Thanks for your interest! For what this pedal costs, I'm wondering if you're better off buying a reverb pedal and separate delay pedal. This thing seems like you'd have to spend a lot of time programming and messing with it.
@sweetwater4 жыл бұрын
Hi Tortilla Man. I own the Source Audio Collider as well as their separate Nemesis Delay and Ventris Reverb, so I can say with complete confidence that it's simply a matter of toggling the chrome switch between Delay and Reverb. Once you've made that choice the knobs behave pretty much the same way they do on the individual units. The biggest difference is that you're eliminating a pair of audio cables and a power supply. Thanks for watching! -_Daniel_

Music producers. Little audio secret but a pedal like this with 56 bit processing is going to make reverbs that outdo most plugins. Lots of people are using insert loops with guitar pedals as FX plugins because they still work better than computer modeled FX in a plethora of specific cases. I have a rack shelf dedicated to guitar pedals that I run vocals, synths, drums, really anything through. Works really well.
