In this recipe, I show you how to make wheat sourdough pancakes.
They turn out to be thin and delicate! if you don't have sourdough, you can make regular pancakes without sourdough using the same recipe. As a result, you will simply not get that peculiar light aroma and taste of sour milk that the sourdough gives.
To be honest, I do not and have never liked yeast pancakes. They are thick, loose and not very tasty in my opinion.
So, you can make perfectly thin pancakes with sourdough! And thus kill two birds with one stone: use the accumulated leftover sourdough, which is a pity to throw away after feeding, and also make pancakes that will remind you of your grandmothers - an incredible childhood taste and aroma!
So, we need:
Wheat sourdough residues - how much to eat. In the video I have it almost half a kilo
0.5 liters of milk
0.5 liters of kefir or sour milk
4-5 tablespoons of sugar
300-500 milliliters of boiling water
2 chicken eggs
0.5 teaspoon salt
2-3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
1 teaspoon baking soda
Pancakes can be difficult to remove, help yourself with a wooden spatula. And don't forget to add enough vegetable oil.
These pancakes can be either pure or complemented with any sweet and savory fillings. They can also serve as the basis for a delicious pancake pie with sour cream and sugar!
