Funny--I just found that I had printed out your recipe and thawed pumpkin I froze last year (bought pie pumpkins at Troyers--what a lot of work! Butternut squash puree was much easier) to make it. Great timing, Molly! p.s. I just noticed that you used a jelly jar for the melted butter. I use my pint and half-pint jars all the time for measuring liquids. Thumbs up to you! ...and now, I'm going to have to get a dough whisk--that looks genius! Sra,

Yay! I'm so glad this video came out at the perfect time. I thought to myself I better get a pumpkin recipe video out so everyone can make a fall treat this month haha. I've always wondered how difficult pie pumpkins were compared to the squash. Great to know! You're so welcome!

I made this, Molly! I did the overnight version with chopped pecans. The flavor is great! I was not used to the texture--very dense; not quite like a sourdough loaf, not quite like a quick bread. I will make it again--would be delicious with cream cheese. Thanks!
