I don't blame South Africans in the way they are reacting towards some Africans in their country, because you can't come to another man's country and start doing rubbish things, trafficking women, selling drugs, scamming, fake money production...these rubbish acts are done by most Africans in SA, I came to South Africa in 2008 and when I realise I can't involve myself in illegal things, I dusted my certificate and went to study in one of the university in Limpopo, I had a good and bad experience but it's always like that in anywhere we are in this world, but I had a great time meeting alot of good people before I left the country to reside in Canada...South Africa is so beautiful, I think the citizens need to understand their history and African history much better...one love Africa, love South Africa...❤🙏

Listen...your videos were one of the reasons why I trusted moving with my husband and our 4 kids to Nigeria, the Nigerian tourist industry needs to fix up, and sponsor you, there's so much value in what you're doing for this country. Also, after seeing the news on how some South Africans were treating Nigerians, coupled with the negative report of my Canadian-Asian-South African coworker, I literally told my Nigerian husband (who loves SA), that he would have to travel there alone because I did not want to step foot in that country as I feared for my life, but seeing you all there laughing and having fun, helps to reduce my fears. The government bodies need to understand that these social media platforms can make or break their tourism industry, keep up the good work brother!

You know your SA story well…that’s why I was surprised Tayo doesn’t seem to know that Durban is one of the most travelled cities on continent and in SA…when we went to SA, we came with a few other Brits and Japanese tour groups flying from Cape Town to Durban and we were all wanting to see the cultural sites of Durban and of course they have such nice weather…their winters aren’t too cold like Johannesburg
@lebo52812 жыл бұрын
I stayed my varsity years in North Beach, Durban so I have experienced the playground firsthand; their tourism marketing was quite aggressive then, plus comrades marathon, cricket matches, international expos etc. It is always a great place to host events in winter. Yes South Africans are welcoming, they welcomed me, my Mum and nana from UK but I did hear locals when you speak to them on how they feel about people visiting SA and they’d say they welcome anyone but they noted how some non South Africans are in the country illegally and doing bad stuff. Nigerians(west Africans) and Zimbabweans were mentioned a lot…not in hateful way, they complaining about SA police& government not doing their jobs to act on those and deport the illegal ones immediately. Also I follow SA news and I see a lot about immigration being a hot topic (apparently in their next election)and seems like SAns are doing what UK is doing too, wanting to deport ppl in the country illegally(UK is departing then to Rwanda, some signed deal), regardless whether they are African or not. Think that’s just the law, come in legally and don’t do anything bad whilst being a visitor and leave as per your visa expiration date…

Tayo didn’t you know that Durban is one of the most visited cities in South Africa and Africa?….along with Cape Town always gets voted as must-visit places in Africa. My Mum& gran spent 3 months travelling Durban and staying short term there few years back. Rest of their full year staying short term in SA from UK was spent living and travelling Cape Town,Johannesburg, Mpimlanga(sp) & East London. Durban is stunning, has warm beaches. I never not visit Cape Town when I’m in SA because of stunning all-surrounding mountain views and I love Durban for rolling hills and watch beaches, always visit there too. Can’t wait to get back…stunning country of South Africa. Well South Africa is tightening their immigration policies so I think their minister of home office(not sure what they call it) is strong voices about tightening border security, so Nigerians in general have a bad reputation even here in UK with immigration, so this isn’t an SA/Nigeria issue but a general Nigeria bad reputation in many countries around the world. A few bad apples are giving Nigerian passport a bad rep…Nigerian government needs to fix it. E-visa is honestly not anything better, as still a visa but it better for time management for the traveller/applicant. E-visa is getting to rolled out by many governments now especially since COVID made it difficult to open up these government offices and trying to discourage queues…is just the way all organised tourism boards& various government are going now(and SA tourism is efficient & professional), same rigorous process of obtaining a visa in person has now been made digital…still can deny you entry via email. Think it’s more efficient though, cuts out queues. Enjoy SA, smart move on SA tourism inviting you and the west African travel content creators, means they want serious travellers from west Africa to come spend their money there…good strategy. I wonder why west Africa doesn’t seriously do tourism marketing like Kenya, SA, Morocco and Egypt…it’s a huge revenue driver for well travelled countries even in Europe eg Spain& France and I think SA gets this right. Ghana, Senegal, Nigeria, Ivory coast etc are countries that have natural beauty so worth strategising beyond the year of return audience and message as that’s very limited audience and there are more monied and bigger spending western audiences and in Japan and even China…if you give them an enticing well packaged experience. West Africa could offer a lot but they need to take tourism seriously

Congratulations Tayo! Your hard work and consistency are bearing fruit. I love your videos and also love the fact that you highlight other upcoming youtubers where necessary. I lived in South Africa for about 10 years. It's got some unbelievably beautiful places. Cheers!

My last trip to SA was in November 2021. I had planned this trip as a gift to my mum, who nurtured the love for SA in me since i was a child. They refused her at OR Tambo because our embassy forgot to (hand)sign her visa, though they could see in the system that the visa is valid.. there is a lady at the custom office who even went to the extend of saying "SA doesnt want you, you must go back to your country". My mum was deported back. This was the most heartbreaking experience ive had in 12 years that ive been going in and out of SA. They need to be careful about chosing those working at the customs too.. Mehn i love SA with all my heart, but sometimes... Hopefully i will get a chance to make my mum experience this place. Im not giving up..😢❤️

@@mzukulwanakangubengcuka2121 eish.. i had never seen my mum cry.. just imagine i was on my knees begging them to let her in.. and she was crying with all her being.. this was really heart breaking..for a hand signature someone forgot.. I still dont get why though they saw the visa was valid they couldn't let her in.. they could even have called the embassy back home to verify or have their approval.. no they just sent her back.. But hey.. all thing work for good for those that love the Lord.. maybe it just wasn't the right time for her to visit.. 🙂🤞🏾

I'm happy that you are starting to get the recognition you deserve. I hope that governments in the rest of Africa give you and other youtubers like Wade Maya the opportunity to sell Africa to the world. You are already doing a great job on tourism.
