Alan Jackson is a real person. He was a legendary country singer back in the '90s & his song "Where Were You (When The World Stopped Turning?)" was a real masterpiece of a song with a very strong meaning of the tragic event of 9/11. Currently, he hasn't been touring very much, due to having Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (or CMT for short).

This episode is part of an arc through the entire season. Through this season, Cartman is possessed by Kenny. You definitely need to react to the entire season after this episode. Alan Jackson is a legit Country artist. This song is a parody of the song he did for 9/11. As for Sadam, he was originally in hell, and after Satan broke up with him he sent him to heaven to be tortured by Mormons.

Look, here're some massive instructions on what you could do further: First of all, the plot with Kenny living in Cartman's body has a direct continuation. Apart from this fact being mentioned in 6x13 and 6x14 (which I believe you already reacted to) it is also continued in 6x15 "Biggest Douche in the Universe". But before you possibly react to this one it would actually be super sweet if you saw 3x03 "Succubus" as some cool characters first appear there. As for Saddam's plot, it actually started in a South Park movie called "Bigger, Longer & Uncut" which takes place in between 3 and 4 seasons if I'm not mistaken. And before "A Ladder to Heaven" it is also continued in episodes 4x10 "Do the Handicapped Go to Hell?" and 4x11 "Probably". And BEFORE you watch these two it would also be cool if watched 3x16 "Are You There God? It's Me, Jesus"
@RandomNonsense1985 Жыл бұрын
Actually, the Saddam saga goes back to season 2, when he was killed by the gas from thousands of Canadians farting at the same time. Then he showed up at the end of another S2 episode holding hands with Satan. Then, they appeared together in the movie.
@drewpiestopsign Жыл бұрын
At the time this was released. 9/11 was still a very fresh wound. So Alan Jackson was very real and did write a song to capitalize on it. The Sadam Hussain part is in reference to when the War on Terrorism shifted to the War in Iraq. When suddenly we were no longer hunting after Osama but began the destruction of the Iraqi dictator. The US Government using the "Evidence" of Sadam building and constructing WMD's as justification.

I'll be honest, a few years ago when my granny died, she was cremated and we received her ashes. I was huge into South Park at the moment and saw this episode. My mom also likes South Park and I asked if I could try Cartman's chocolate milk mix. She said I could and we put a little spoonful in a glass of milk and stirred it. I drank it and then immediately spit it out. Ashes have the texture of sand and tiny rocks and it was absolutely disgusting. Don't be a dumbass like me, everyone. (That should be a given but if you had the opportunity, wouldn't you try it???) Sadly, no memories and/or first person view from my granny's eyes never happened and that was also a reason why I wanted to try it. Both of my hopes were wrong but I still oddly feel like a part of my granny's soul will always be with me anyway. I love her and miss her so 0/10 for an tasteful experience but a 6/10 when it comes to closure!

This is why you have to watch the series, including all the movies in order to understand the story, Kenny died “for real” in an episode before this to a fatal illness, the joke was the kids forgot because they expected him to magically be back like he was before. Also if you watched the movies, you would know that Saddam Hussein died, and as a punishment, the devil asked God to send him to heaven to live with is the Mormons as torture, but the joke is that he continued his terrorism in heaven. This why you have to go in order, or you don’t understand the joke your audience is anticipating your reaction for, and the quality of this upload suffers from how you are not watching the show sequentially as intended by Matt and Trey. Also if you would go in order when you watched the “death camp of tolerance” episode you would know why Cartman was being controlled by Kenny, you need to go in order or it won’t make sense, South Park is not an episodic show after season 4 or 5, it becomes sequential, so don’t ignore how the show wants to be watched!!!!!!!
