I totally agree with you. It's easy to say a band got murked depending on the pop tunes played, but no one seems to know about the control and armature. Yes I am a old head from SU and give credit where credit is due. Talladega started out on fire, but Southern memorizes at least 70 tunes before marching season and being seasoned they know not to pull out all the hits in the beginning. Take a lose I would say not. After football season this what was left and they maintained exceptionally well. So to the critics regardless of there opinions they are ranked the no.2 band in the nation......Now that speaks volumes for a swac band.

Good battle especially with it being the offseason for both programs. Great entertainment. TC did a really good job holding their own; however, I would have to give the nod to SU. They simply sound more defined and the arrangements are simply better. Also, because SU has a more disciplined sound I would give the nod. TC sounds like the SU of old but with a few corrections and better arrangements and discipline their potential is very bright. Great job both programs!!

southern gave tc the stepson treatment, they played crowd favorites but thats only gonna get you so far in a battle. at some point you have to sound like a college. if tc is around in 10 years they'll be a force but right now they're still wet behind the ears you can clearly hear the difference.

Very interesting match up If this was a heavy weight title fight it would have went down to a decision with the W going to southern Only because they were favored and there arrangements exposed TC's but your lying to yourself if you can say SU was more powerful in this meeting ( definitely not the same group from the season) TC was very intense All around you could hear it, but Im hoping a fall meeting will happen somehow because both groups were not well polished at all but TC has been moving up every year you cant take that away from them they aren't wasting any time.

I'm a huge su fan but I ain't gone lie talladega came through and won su trumpets wit these cracking notes and talladega b-tones and mellos was killing su and su on wanna be a baller was bad when they played holy grail they got off tempo in the beginning but talladega had a good articulation and a good strong sounds and not just a bunch of screaming notes like su

OK I watched every single round of this battle and everyone seems to support their own school with no real admission of the shortcomings of this battle. First of all, TC DID NOT murk SU, SU DID NOT blow TC out. SU did win this battle though, TC need to work on their stamina. I do think SU slept on TC in the beginning of this battle and payed acdearcprice for it. Another thing, you can't judge a battle based on half a band being there. Had SU come in mass most of the people in the middle of the bands would be deaf!! Nevertheless, good job TC. For you guys to be a young band you DEFINITELY gave SU something to think about. Hopefully this won't be your last meeting!

You must not be from New Orleans I'm not from there but I have visited and band such as Edn Mar and O.P walker now Laundery O.P Walker sound nearly as loud as TC considering they are kids in His and TC has fully grown people with years of college experience. Most of Tc band have transfers from other schools mostly Swac, O.P walker is 1/6 of their size and they could give them and any other band a run for their money, and they say Tc soumds like a high school because of the sloppyness playing with no control,stop bandwagoning bruh gets you no where in life.

Volume......tie I don't care if southern brought their whole band our not. What the had TC match it. But number don't matter it's the strength behind the numbers. TC is STRONG for their size and this is coming from a former Juke. TC to me just need to tighten up those arrangements some and they need some more control and they are there. The volume and the crunkness is there. I just hope they can maintain size or grow and get a football team lol. And if they do all hell is going to break loose.

The one thing that Southern does different than TC that you all need to realize, Go threw a very Hectic Audition for their band! You Must know all 12 scales in 2 octaves 3 if necessary, have a Audition Piece and Play a Sight reading piece from the Band Directors Choosing, which is a Piece on a Colliegate Level of reading! Please state TC's audition requirements!? Then theirs a Crab week just to see who can survive and thats where most freshman get zipped! TC auditions in the Fall after SU gets rid of the ones that cant hang & they audition in the spring! Everyone who gets zipped out of SU band goes their trust me this is a fact! (Friends who are in TC that where in SUs band)! So for you all to say SU needs to step their Recruiting game up and get their numbers big like TC! SMH at you! You probly cant make this process that these young musicians in SU's band go threw! So until TC steps their game up and meet the status of SU please do not compare them at all!!

It's clear what band has been running Louisiana but I think this battle a lot closer then what the comments display. SU has the cleaner sound but all the talk about high school arrangements are silly. They playing radio rap/funk songs that are impossible to complicate. SU just playing them better and cleaner. I never heard of this Talladega band and have no bias being from Fla but after listening to the whole battle it's SU slightly. SU in my top 3 fav hbcu bands btw.

I would respect your comment but the way your KZbin setup you've been a TC fan for a while also you claim on every video TC won that automaticly puts you in the bias bandwagon seat, TC holy grail clearly wasn't as powerful as Su Etc loud but the power wasn't there. Etc was also very very sloppy that Hit the rode Jack should have hit the rode. I gave Tc props but don't get big headed and blinded there are issues with Tc that needs to be cleaned up technical arrangements have to be technically clean.
