The weird thing in my neighborhood is that my neighbors are normally like this. There’s Loud Talk on the Phone Outside guy, Bad Saxophone player, Marching Band Party people, and Yelling Guy. But now that they’re all stuck at home, they have been mysteriously quiet. I’m so grateful, but it’s weird and eerie quiet.

“It smells like sad grease” lmao!! My husband runs restaurant called Pennstation, and he comes home smelling like sad grease as well. When I was pregnant with my son, he would come in and I would get so sick. That smell is horrible! Especially during pregnancy.

I work at Lowe’s in Kentucky, and we have that controversy here too! It’s considered essential because we offer water, air, and heating repair supplies. Unfortunately, we have many people deciding to come in every day getting about three plants at a time, and bringing their entire family on the outing, taking no precautions to protect the cashiers helping them. My mom is on chemo and I ended up switching to night shift temporarily to hopefully limit my exposure to the public so I don’t bring it home to her. I’m appreciative of having a job at this time, but I wish people would be just a little more considerate of the employees helping them. The precautions we take as employees only go so far when mothers let their 8 children lick every surface they see!

I see people doing the same thing here. Way too many people aren't taking it seriously. I can understand bringing your kids to the store for essentials if you have no one to watch them, but when I see multiple adults coming in together with little kids? Ugh, NO. One of those adults can come get the essentials, and everybody else needs to STAY HOME!

I should have clarified I also understand if someone doesn’t have access to child care, but unfortunately I have seen far too many families with multiple adults and kids come in! We literally JUST installed a policy at my store where only one person per family may come in at a time. Anyway, I also appreciate the many thoughtful people I see taking their own precautions! I’ve seen lots of good people doing their best in all of this too. I hate to hear that about your county. Y’all stay safe!!

This is a bit long, sorry! Just wanted to share my Karen story with you: We all have it in us to be Karens. It just depends on your threshold for bull crap. I've lived in the same apartment for three years now (this is not hypothetical, this really happened). About a week after we moved in we started hearing a loud banging noise outside that sounded like someone hitting a flag pole with an aluminum bat. We're near other new buildings so we chalked it up to construction and left it at that. Walking to the store one day my boyfriend saw an elderly lady across the street from our place standing on the corner slamming two metal pipes together and screaming at the top of her lungs! Come to find out (from other neighbors) she's been doing this for years. At the time I was thinking something is not right, why is this poor woman alone and why is she on the street banging pipes and shouting... So I started calling the non-emergency line to ask the police or whoever if they could go and check on her. I never heard anything back and she kept doing her thing (tbh idk where she found the strength, this woman is 85 lbs. soaking wet). My bf works from home and her prime banging hours were between 7am and 12pm. He started to get... annoyed (nice word for it). Finally I decided to go try to talk to her to see what was up. Girl... This lady was banging those pipes for dear life, screaming nonsense to the heavens but as soon as I walked up and said hi, she immediately stopped and said hello in the most precious old lady voice. We exchanged a few pleasantries, I asked her if she was doing okay, she said yes. I asked did she need anything, she said no (I found out someone brings her groceries). I didn't have the heart to ask her wtf she was doing with all the banging and yelling. She told me to be careful walking around and we said bye and I went home. I told my bf and he laughed and we both felt bad for complaining. Now we talk to her whenever we walk to get groceries (not during the pandemic, but normally). I'm not a doctor, but I'm assuming it's a mental health issue and she does that to comfort herself. She's such a sweet lady. I just hope she's okay during all this. I think her name is Violet. The point of this long ass story is maybe Tripp isn't quite all there and he does the vroom vroom and the wing wing to self soothe. Maybe it's like his ASMR! Anyway, love your videos! Thanks for keeping us sane and pacified during this crazy time. Stay safe and stay sane.

I feel your pain with the vroom vroom bike. My neighbors’ teenagers have so many 4 wheelers and they have friends over every weekend (so much for social distancing I guess 🙄). They drive those 4 wheelers around all. day. long. I don’t want to be that old man screaming “Keep it down!!!”, but I am getting awful close to being that old man.

I freaking LOVE these videos...I honestly just went "ooh yay!!" Lol! So excited!!! when I saw you posted this. McDonalds was my first job (I'm a few years older than you), but you nailed the horror that was the uniforms back then!! The shirts were horrid, with the dorky bow tie clip-on thing we had to wear and the stupid sun visor, not even a hat; but the pants...those pants!!! I took the legs in so they fit much better, even though we technically weren't allowed to. I lasted for a whole year there surprisingly. I'm Canadian and people are indeed much nicer here I guess!! Lol!

It was my first job too! I hated the visor, it made my forehead itchy. My least favorite part was the way the grease stuck in my clothes. I was only ever on the front register. People were never really mean, a little impatient but a smile goes a long way, I think. All in all it was pretty fun for a first job for a teenager. On my off days I'd get free double cheeseburgers from the drive through! Lol

I think everyone that I know (other than myself working in healthcare & being “essential”) is hunkered down at home. All I get to do is go to work & come home, strip on the porch so i don’t wear “contaminated” clothes inside, put them in washer-go straight to shower, rinse & repeat 😹 my husband won’t “let” me go to the grocery store-says I get “exposure” enough & will come home with ALL the grocery store gossip 😹😹😹 he tells his stories using different voices, I might video him & post it...😹 Thank You for all you do for us & the community as a whole. My first out in the real world job paid $3.10 per hour. I worked in a mall cafe and oh boy, I earned every cent. I even got electrocuted, burned and accidentally stabbed! I nearly choked when you said Tripp had a coffee stand up. Is he touched? Never a dull moment! Good grief lol. Thank you for bringing joy and laughter tonight Mary! Our Mom’s sound a little similar. Her birthday is April 1, and this year she asked for bullets and chocolate covered cherries! Sorry for the long message. I’m looking forward to your drive through video.
