I would like to propose something to y'all. though. How about referring to the types of keto without judgment (clean, dirty, lazy), -whole foods, standard, and moderate? The most important thing for me is to stay in ketosis. People should stop blaming and shaming with those words, which imply. again from an oppressive dieting culture, anyone who is not doing "perfect" keto is FAILING by being "dirty" or "lazy." I'm not intentionally keto, but I eat a diet low in refined carbs and free from added sugar because I have diabetes. Most "low carb" bread products still spike my sugar up into the 300s after I eat, so carbquik has been amazing in my situation. It also doesn't leave me feeling hungry or craving real bread/carbs afterwards, which is a big plus. I love whoever invented this flour.**Edit. im insulin resistant type 2 diabetic, used this product and only see a slight rise, maybe 5 points per 2 carbs, but remember everyone is different in how their body will react to certain food items, but my baseline is about 110, only went up to 115 at 30 mins, then it actually dropped down lower than my usual basline after an hour to 102, then down to 95 at the 2 hour mark

If you're missing "real" fried chicken or pork chops fried with flour, substitute Carbquick in place of it and fry it in lard. OMG it is delicious. People can't tell the difference if you don't tell them that it wasn't fried with regular flour.

My husband and I just started our low carb diet a little over a week ago and purchased this at our store recently. He is a diabetic so I found your video very helpful with information. I guess we are considered “dirty keto” because we are keeping our carbs low but not 20 carbs or less. I feel like we would just fail the diet on 20 or less. We usually keep out carbs under 40. Still loose weight just at a slower rate and I’m ok with that.

Thank you for this video! Though I use it, this made me feel better about using it. Carbquick made it so my now diabetic (tho I'm working hard to reverse it for him with Keto and IMF) husband and I can have our weekend breakfast ritual back again. Saturday was always Biscuits and Sausage Gravy, and Sunday was pancake and bacon. Though, I don't use the box instructions for the pancakes, too heavy. For one cup CQ I use one egg, 3T heavy cream, water (to the consistency I want), and my secret ingredient... sugar free vanilla non dairy coffee creamer. Both powdered or liquid work. Use it to the level of sweetness you prefer, usually 2-3T. Makes about 6 normal size pancakes. He swears they taste like McDonald's pancakes, and they don't effect his sugar levels.🥰

I am so happy to hear this! My son loves pancakes and waffles and this mix works great for those. Biscuits and muffins are good, too, especially garlic cheddar biscuits! Wasn’t a fan of the Carbquik brownie recipe (texture), but i can’t wait to try some other things. Word of warning, it has lots of fiber. If keto makes you constipated, it’s a great option. But be careful and don’t eat to much until you know how it affects you. Could cause some bathroom drama. Thanks, Kristi!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I bought this 2 years ago and liked it but wasn't sure it was ok, I spoke to a friend who is diabetic and she uses it. She swears by it. This is proof for me. I also do Dirty KETO, and still lose weight and feel GREAT. Also as a result of MY KETO way, my blood tests are GREAT now. I was pre-diabetic but now I am not. I am so glad I watched your video. It gave me piece of mind about carbquik. I’ve done the keto diet before and was successful, that was 12 years ago and no carbquik. I’m happy with your test results and will be sure to watch my levels as well. I have to say that I have been using this for at least a year. I love this stuff!! When my family eats pancakes I can too. I made some muffins the other day and added 1/2 cup pumpkin and sprinkled the tops with some cinnamon before baking and they were so good! The blueberry pancakes are also very good. I am not strict keto so I am fine with this option. Thanks for testing this product. Now we know it does not spike everything. Cool!!

So last night I made keto fried chicken in the air fryer (Elechomes air fryer as you had bought for your Mom....love it) and instead of using almond meal, I used Carbquick! Kristi, I make these biscuits w/heavy cream & a tablespoon of baking powder~ it makes them SO big & fluffy! Plus, the cream gives a richer taste & texture too~ YUM! I buy it for around $7 @ our grocery stores. *I'm curious if you are still loving it, now that it's a few months later? Also, if you have noticed any 'side effects' of any kind~ I'm still new to it, having made biscuits twice, pigs-in-a-blanket once. Thanks for being such a pleasant guinea for us btw- so kind=)

*Note: If anybody makes these w/extra baking powder, you may want to reduce the salt in your gravy, or whatever else you have w/them, as they are extra salty w/that much baking powder. I've also used chicken broth for the liquid~ taste like Chikin-In-A-Biskit crackers =)

@@ashleyhaley6322 I just whisk in the baking powder w/the dry mix after you measure it into the bowl, & sub the liquid the original recipe calls for with heavy cream or chicken broth- sometimes half of each- that's it. Directions stay the same as they are written on the box. =)

I will try making these biscuits with the low sodium and I wondered if you could use 1/2 a tablespoon and if they would come out good, also or do you have to use 1 full tablespoon? Just a thought since I have high blood pressure. Thanks for the info on adding heavy cream instead of water and baking powder I would've never though to try that. I am really loving all the helpful comments and suggestions.

@@brinac1.6.scaledolls Yes~ most definitely Bri. I also use the low sodium baking powder, aluminum free. I recently tried it w/just one extra teaspoon & they came out just as fluffy & risen~ so I think because the CarbQuik already has some baking powder/soda in it, any amount of extra is going to give us an enhanced end result- including half a Tablespoon. Will be making pecan sticky rolls today, w/my sugar free caramel sauce. I want to try adding a bit of yeast for flavor.=)

I just used these to make some beer battered chicken strips and they came out amazing - so you can absolutely use this for deep frying, which is something I was wondering about. Also I haven't been doing low carb for long, currently, so I still know exactly what everything should taste like, and by the time you add in the low carb beer, some spices, and fry it, to me it tasted amazing, no aftertaste or weird taste.

I go through a box of carbquick in about a year. Not an everyday item for me, but a good pantry staple. I use it for biscuits, dumplings, and pot pie crust. Used it for quick experimental recipes like snickerdoodle cookies. I find mixing a little powdered sweetener in it makes it taste a bit better. Looking forward to seeing your recipes. I'm due to buy another box, and feel better about it after seeing your test result.

This stuff mixed with protein powder and a little xanthan gum vanilla etc makes delicious soft nicely textured donut holes to curb that craving for donuts made with the "reg" flours

I am not sure if I'm allowed to, but I'm leaving the link www.thehungryelephant.ca/2019/07/23/keto-donut-holes-fried/ all I did was add a little more pure vanilla extract made sure my sweetener was powdered not granular and substituted the almond flour with carbquik and 1 to 2 Tb of water to the mixture to help them steam puff as they fry. Keep your batter drops small 1/2 ts per hole they really puff up. I do make this same recipe omitting the sweetener for a savory hole but I use a 1 ts drop to make them more the size of a fritter that I dip in garlic butter or marinara

Love that stuff! I thought the biscuit was a bit dry. But love the waffles! I made an egg/bacon sandwich out of two mini waffles, it was wonderful. Or with a little sugar free syrup is great! I don’t think I should eat it everyday, but as a treat once in a while it is awesome!

I have made several loaves of bread in my bread maker using CarbQuik instead of AP flour. I use it for my bacon-grease biscuits, tortillas and well, in any type of bread desire like with soups, stews, or as a pie crust.

I went keto because it controlled seizures. My priority is to stay keto, not so much clean keto. I've recently experimented with chaffles and failed. I next decided to make egg white bread. All the reasons for chaffles and egg white bread, like having a bread substitute would probably work better for me with Carbquik. Thanks for a great video.

This is my favorite carbquik. I eat keto, yes like you, Dirty. But, I use it for cheddar cheese biscuits regular biscuits, pancakes and brownies. Pricey on Amazon is where I get it. I love it. 👍🏼 thx for the testing. 💜👍🏼

We have it in our Supercenter. If you have enough requests they'll start carrying it. That's how I got nitrate free bacon at my Neighborhood store. And it makes the best sausage cheese balls. Man! You can't tell the difference.

That’s not dirty keto; it’s not real food...Anyway I love that you do these blood sugar checks. I try to stay clean keto because processed food is fake and make as me feel like crap. However, real life gets busy and we travel so these videos are super helpful to me. Sadly we went to the beach yesterday And I grabbed a chocolate covered caramel chocolate quest bar that said four net carbs on the box. It totally spiked my insulin and gave me major food cravings all day long. I need to share a picture of this on my Instagram. There is no way there are four net carbs because it doesn’t line up with what’s on the back in the nutritional facts. I’m so upset because today I kind of feel like crap. I also bought Perfect Keto because you rave about it. I think it arrives today!!!!!Also, I hope I don’t come across as rude as I am just sharing personal thoughts for my own body. I allow myself keto friendly processed foods on occasion and I will definitely try the carb quick
