Lol. He is completely wasting his time. All he has to do is read the law. He has no control over what the recipient does with the money. He just needs to grow up and look at it as though he's paying a portion of the child's rent, electric, water, cable, phone, internet, transportation, food, and anything else the child needs to survive. Mom is spending her money on whatever she wants to spend her money on. I paid child support for 19 years, and it's just something you have to get over. @@Redspeciality I would ask your definition of ‘ a lot of times’? Does it happen? Of course. It’s the ‘a lot of times’ I think I disagree with. Unluckily there’s no way to know exactly how often it happens. That it happens at all is a tragedy. But,, in my limited experience, I was a paralegal and worked for a few Family/Divorce lawyers for some time, it was the exception not the rule. I remember one time working for a female attorney who went off on her client because she’d made an off handed remark about what she was going to do with the back payments she was owed. That lawyer laced into her,,, told her up front that money was to support the child not her., told her to get a damn job! Told the mom if she found out she wasn’t taking care of that child she’d call CPS. Now,, I think unless it’s there’s abuse involved her own lawyer can’t turn her in. But the client was young and the lawyer took a risk. Don’t know that it worked but I understood why she did it. So I acknowledge it happens. However in a case like this,, less than 200$ a month is not enough to support the child much less the mother. Statistically speaking, it used to be after a divorce women and children ended up in poverty at an astounding rate. Something like 2/3’s, whereas in a few years his standard of living went back to normal or above. One time all she was asking for was for him to pay half the childcare costs. He refused,, and trust me he could afford it. He just didn’t want to pay her or his two kids a dime. He tried every way to delay and drag it out in an effort to bleed dry her resources. After dealing with his behavior that lawyer took a big cut in salary to help her. Not common ,,but it does happen. I worked, towards the end of my career, at a firm that helped fathers only. So,, I’ve seen both sides. However,, My limited experience saw that when the kids were eating ramen it was because she made just enough to not qualify for assistance and he was barely helping,,if at all. That meant mom was eating ramen too,,,,or not eating. I’m not in anyway disagreeing that it happens,, but I don’t think it’s,, a lot of times. I think it’s closer to sometimes. Any time it happens,,it’s wrong and needs to be fixed.

As he said he only paid $15 so she concludes that he's guilty. once that's over, he was asked being the lawyer, if he had any final arguments for his side of the case but he didn't have anything to say, so she simply asked the other side of they had any final arguments which they didn't. It is easier to scam someone than to convince them that they've been scammed. Sovcit grifters appeal to people's ego. They convince their victims that they are smarter than everyone else, judges and lawyers, included. Once someone has been convinced they are smart and good and privy to secret knowledge others do not have, it is EGO-CRUSHING to find out it's untrue, and so they will cling to it like a psychological life raft. It's easy to scam people into becoming sovvies because the scam makes them feel special and powerful. It's much harder to show them they've been scammed because that makes them feel foolish and weak.

In the state of Georgia, you just go to the child support enforcement office and hand them your court documents. The other parent has to pay through that department from now on. They even have an app. If the other parent refuses to pay, the state can garnish their wages, take away their drivers license, passport, professional accreditation etc. The state is the one responsible for making all that happen so you don’t have to pay to hire a lawyer. In the state of Georgia, child support is based solely on the ratio of one parents income to the other and has a maximum amount. There’s no haggling or bickering. Zero drama. It’s amazing.
