Sorry to hear that you are one of my sisters of misery :( I've been a chronic cluster migraine sufferer for 25 years now. I'm on botox, preventative medications, daily medications, and then I also have to go to the emergency for treatments when I have extreme flare ups, which usually happen 2 months after my Botox wears off :( There are several days where I have to wear a baseball cap inside to keep lights off my eyes just to function as a wife/mother/human. This life, I wouldn't wish on anyone. If you have any tricks for relief, would you mind sharing? My favorite is my Earl Grey and Peppermint Tea blend. Give it a try, you might find some relief.

@@SoyandShea Thank you. Since I was a teenager, migraines have plagued me. I'm on Emgality shot monthly to reduce how often they hit me. Meds don't always work for breakthrough migraines, but a strong cup of coffee & peppermint essential oil held to the roof of my mouth helps lots! I also use just a touch of peppermint EO in carrier oil on my temple on side affected.

Bergamot is one of my favorite essential oils. It really does smell great with peppermint.

This is a beautiful looking soap! I came to watch this video first before I watched the remaking of you posted on Christmas day. I haven't combined peppermint and bergamot before, but definitely will now! I have a soap I make with Earl Grey tea brewed quite strongly, and scented just with bergamot EO. It's a lovely bright scented soap! Peppermint helps me a little with headaches and migraines. There was one time I was making a hot process soap, and when I'd gone into the studio that day my head felt heavy, foggy, and I was in pain. The moment the peppermint and rosemary EO's I was adding hit the warm soap, a the cloud of scent instantly cleared my head!

Peppermint essential oil is excellent for headaches and for pain! It’s also a natural Antibacterial and antiviral.

I can totally relate with the dog issue. My neighbors dog is a barker. Gorgeous green. Green and gold pair together is my favorite. Of course that extravagance gold is the best ever

The top of the soap looks soft and creamy with the light green there. Earl grey tea is my favorite, also. I love the way the house smells when I make tea soaps. It is so wonderful with the different types. It really turned out beautiful and I am sure the fragrance is exceptional! 👍

That Aero is a pretty mica. Might have to get some of that. The fragrance mix sounds divine. I love peppermint with any citrusy type scent :) This is so fresh looking. Love it.

When I soap with tea, it usually turns dark right away. Then while it cures it lightens up some. If I use a very concentrated tea, it gets darker with time. That sounds like an amazing soap.

The two teas, Earl Grey and Peppermint tea, I use combined as a Migraine relief. Very soothing to the mind and the peppermint helps settle the stomach as my migraines make me very nauseated and dizzy.

Oh my, what a lovely looking soap. You have done a great job of selecting colours that really compliment each other and the fragrance. While I do still suffer from migraines, Bergamot and Peppermint is not a combination that I personally would have thought would relieve the symptoms, but if it works, great. You can always give it a try!! I never thought they would help either. But I thought, hey if one soothes my mind and the other soothes my nausea, how will they be combined? So I did it, 2 tea bags in my super sized mug, and I was IN HEAVEN!!!

Absolutely love this soap. When I made soap with tea leaves it was kind of scratchy. Do you think I may have added too much, or is that just how tea leaf soap feels? Just curious of your experience with using soap with tea leaves. I wonder why your neighbors leave behind one of their dogs? Feel kinda sorry for the left dog. Sorry that he is loud, though. Thank you ❤ I find the used tea leaves are less scratchy and for the dry ones I blitz them in the blender to make them fine to eliminate that scratch. It is also finding that right balance of how much to use. Less can be more. Not sure why they suddenly stopped walking both dogs. I had to stop walking my old girl with the younger one so neither her or I get hurt if the younger one pulls. Our old girl has very loose hip joints now. Always falling over.

Thank you for watching 🧡 I use a combination of several oils in this soap to create a custom blend. The best place to check essential oil usage rates is eocalc.com where you can put in the weight of your oils and it will tell you safe rates.

Really nice job! I’m really new at soap making. I have been making soap and mistakes for 8 months now. Can you tell at what temperature you soaped at please? I’m having issues with temperature of the lye and oils. When I made my first batch of soap it came out perfectly. Seems the more I learn, the worse I seem to get. 🙏

I think the more you do this, you make more mistakes you make as the first few you are so meticulous. Don't let the mistakes set you back. Temperature is very dependent on your oil choice as you need to make sure you solid ones do not set up again if too cool. It also depends on weather conditions. I like to soap at room temp

Can I ask about the shelf life of the bergamot? Most of the Bergamot soaps I've used sour over time and I don't know how to make it stop.

You'd need to check the shelf life on your bottle of Bergamot oil. A good supplier will always show the use by date. I've not had a problem with mine changing smell.
