Space Engineers - Hab-Hazard (Hard Survival)

Every Space Engineers base needs a habitation building...and I'm building mine underground. So it’s time for some precision drilling.
We’re playing Space Engineers with permadeath turned on, jet pack and auto heal turned off, and no 3rd person view. We're using the daily needs survival kit mod...on Pertam where ice is extremely rare, it's super dark, and the risk of failure is very high.

If you have the most updated version, regular armor blocks should be non collision. If not, you're gonna have to use armor blocks. In order to get the least amount of gap, you are gonna have to use piston head displacement to have a smooth walk on and off the elevator. It is probably a good idea. You get a respawn point back first.

In use, yes there's usually no collision (I'm on the latest version), but that jolt as I placed a block near the platform meant that it wasn't 100% happy - it won't stop it working, but it does cause phantom forces that make standing still on the platform impossible - causes sliding. This won't be a problem once it's an elevator with walls to stop me falling off. Yes I could get my respawn point back first with some trading. I'd like to wait for daylight before driving out to the outpost and the risk of a lightning storm makes it a dangerous trip.

That fall and the outcome would make me buy a lottery ticket fella. Superb episode chap, I'd still give it a 7, 5 is a bit harsh - maybe 8, considering the fall haha.

Haha thanks. I reckon a second or two later and that fall would have done serious damage. I was thinking 5 because I have to leave room for the big achievements 😂 Not sure falling is an achievement.

Surely rather than worrying about collecting the stone that fell out, you could have just reversed the pistons slightly?
