27:58 That was super epic! The two Scrapikomas moving to attack together alongside the background music looks like something from a movie. I can imagine having an army of Scrapi drones following you into battle would look really awesome 😎

Thank you and that’s kind of the plan 😉 I’ve only made two so far but I am planning to expand the squad so we can hit some more Assert bases. Safety in numbers 😉

22:20 where the pipes go up the outside to the roof, you could have a small cargo at the bottom into the wall so you have storage/ parts access inside each hangar, and even outside next to them, instead of having to run around to the assembler station for it. 😃👍

Yeah I’ve actually ended up doing something very similar. Most of the bays now have some cargo access in the floor so there’s less running around to do 👍

something you could do, with your current setup, would be to mass produce those scrapkomas in those hangars and have a bigger hangar with multiple parkingslots for them to it's sides. for example having three slpots left, 3 spots to the right and have 2 3 scrapkoma squadrons of 3 parked and refuelled there, would free the other two garages up for massproducing and repairing.

Oh now that is an interesting idea. I could easily build a separate storage garage and have the current ones purely for production & repair. I might just do that 👍

Great episode man. I'm really impressed by your welder bays for the Scrapikomas. I never have the patience to setup that kinda stuff. Maybe I should put more effort in. Very cool.

Thank you! I’m quite happy with the repair bays myself, they work much better than I expected. Building automated stuff like that is really easy compared to how it used to be, it’s mostly Event Controllers and a few Timers to do all the movements 👍

@@dread_mechanic Yeah, definitely better now. Years ago I wrote a script to give me precise control over rotors/pistons, and used it to make plunge drill that extended it's own drill shaft by welding new lengths on the end, and then re-merging. That was a big thing though. A big part of the build/playthrough. One of my things is that I prefer to setup stuff like this once, and then not have to do it again(so tedious), so to make multiple repair bays, I would want to handle the repair sequence with a script.

@@toroidaldevil9303 Yeah if you want to set up multiple versions of the same system then using a script will definitely speed things up and make the whole process easier. I used to play SE on Xbox and quite a few of my subs are console players, so I've been trying to do as much vanilla stuff as possible so everyone can use my ideas, even if it does get a little slow & tedious at times.

@@dread_mechanic That's awfully nice of you. I started SE on Xbox as well. Moved to PC because... well it plays plays better on PC. More PCU yada yada yada.
@dread_mechanic16 күн бұрын
@@toroidaldevil9303 Yeah I moved to PC a few years ago for the same reasons, but when this channel started getting a bit of attention I noticed an increase in comments saying "I wish this on console" (all my mechs were heavily modded & scripted back then). But then Event Controllers were added & the mechanical blocks were updated and now the vast majority of things I used to use scripts for can now be done vanilla. So now I'm trying to stick to stuff that everyone can do regardless of platform 👍

What was the 'mini tools' mod you were using?
@dread_mechanic8 күн бұрын
Azimuths Tiny Drill mod (it’s actually all the block tools). You should be able to find it on Steam & ModIO 👍
