Fun fact (maybe): the dunce cap goes back a frighteningly long way. Ancient people used to believe that a conical hat would impart wisdom. It's the origin of the wizard hat, which goes back to the druids at the very least. Now, when it comes to humiliating children, my guess is that it came from the Victorians, who seemed to make an art out of ruining childhoods. Between putting borax in spoiled milk to sell it to work houses for orphans, they get my vote in that department.

“Defensive buffs are good but don’t win games” 1:19:25 Much easier to win games when you still have models left. Also, on vanguard spearhead - it has the biggest set of scoring buffs of all the detachments because of the movement shenanigans - calculated feint and guerrilla tactics are top drawer stratagems.

Depends on the quality of the defensive buff really i suppose - Mark really rates Vanguard for those strats

2 hrs of fantastic nonsense! Only joking. It was pretty funny and I felt like having the all 7 discussed in an entertaining way by people who understand the codex as a whole and the different ways and reasons we all play was a little bit useful. I'm still gonna play SOS so I'm not being a 'beard' but my friend is struggling to find a good fit for his crimson fists so I'm going to recommend this podcast to him

I heard in video about the terminators lacking attacks against vehicles. I see the chainfist as a good option.

Chainfists are great but hitting on a 4 hurts - I prefer powerfists in SoS especially with a chaplain! (3 attacks and only dmg2 hurts too)

@@3Grotsmy thinking would be that 1 TH works in Stormlance... but 2 TH works in Ironstorm with a Techmarine or 2 and some scouts, maybe a callidus for teleport scoring hijinks

In both this video and Johns Vanguard vid with James, there is a mention to picking up to Strat reserve having to return from board edge, rules commentary & the app say you can enter from Strat reserve using deep strike if you have it

Power of the machine spirit is below half health from attacks not below half health - there's a bunch of counter play if you can output mortal wounds without attacking e.g. Grenade strat, tank shock, Sisters demonifuge

I think the hate for stormlance was slightly over applied! It’s supposed to be thematically white scars but is it any good for space wolves and Dark Angels? Could it be a good choice for those two chapters Also, indomitable fury in the anvil siege force, total bullshit that it’s better than Guillimans! 😂
