Dick Grob --- Hearing from his interview in '''Denmark, he was a person that is very intellectual, good sense of discipline and vision...he was very professional yet warm, he valued moral constructivity and productivity that someone needs to shower to all, without divisiveness of conduct....he was destined to be one among the few who will define the good in Elvis, he deserve an endless salutation and remembrance.

Unlike other guys who jumped in and out, or just joined the tours, Dick was one of the few guys being around Elvis the entire 70’s. Great story teller, RIP

Another great video. Thanks! I got to meet Dick Grob several years ago. Very nice man. I asked him about the filming of "That's The Way It Is". When filming the concerts at the International Hotel, during "Love Me Tender" Elvis jumps off the stage and walked thru the audience, and pandemonium ensues. I asked Dick if Elvis told them ahead of time that he was going to do that. Dick said "Elvis never told us anything he was going to do while on stage, that's why we had to be on our toes and watch him at all times."

Mr. Spa Guy! Great piece of Elvis history with Mr. Grob. I just think it is so nice of Mr. Grob to say he has nothing bad to say about Elvis! I find it incredible that everyone says nothing but good things about Elvis! Just very, very nice! And the speaking about the funeral, very sad but ...... Thank You again for tightening us up!!!

I remember watching this when you first put it up. Dick, sadly is now also gone. Man, they're getting fewer and fewer! It's bound to happen as people get older, but damn man. Pretty soon, there won't be anybody left from Elvis' inner circle who truly knew him. Thank you for doing these videos Billy. For people like me who can't make it to Memphis regularly and meet all these people, these videos are good documentation. I always look forward to your videos Billy! Keep tightening up!

Great video. I bumped into Dick at Elvis week in Great Yarmouth UK in September at which he was a special guest and just like in this video he had a coffee in one hand and a cigarette in the other and so it will always remind me of a nice 10 minute chat I had with him with no one else around and this video takes me straight back there. Thanks Spa guy 👍👍

Enjoyed watching this again and so sad to hear about Dick passing away. So glad you got to interview him while he was with us. We are losing most of the people that were closest to Elvis. That's why what you're doing is so important and appreciated. Once these people are gone, all the history is gone and well. So glad you have been able to uncover a lot of it for us thru all these great interviews!!

I take it leasing options weren’t around then. “18 cars for the 15 he turned in”. Love the cover of this book . Btw , why don’t any of these guys offer the books on kdp (dot) com . You have the option to upload a pdf and you can sell your book ebook style or physical copy on amazon . Just a suggestion , I saw a recent interview you did that required emailing the person . Maybe a easier platform would be kdp. Plus it’s print by order or a small fee to store at amazon .

I think it was the early 90's. Maybe late 80's. A lifelong friend of my uncle's. He was asked to clean an old barn out. A "big" old barn. This barn was packed to the gills with stuff. As he was pulling stuff out of the barn he uncovered a Harley Davidson and a Cadillac. Both the Harley and Cadillac had engraved plaks saying, To: ( a females name ) with love from Elvis Presley. That may have not been the exact inscription word for word but, it was a long those lines. I was about 15 when I heard about this (1995). I remember asking the guy if Elvis was dating that woman. I cant remember what his answer was but, it seems like he said somthing along the lines of, Elvis was interested in her or he said, he thinks they were just gifts to say thank you to the lady. I cant remember exactly what je said too me. I do remember, the guy showing me pictures of the Harley and the Cadillac. The pictures looked like they were taken just after the Cadillac and Harley were pulled out of the barn. Another picture was a up close shot of the plaks. If anyone is interested in researching this to try finding out the back story, here is what little info I have. The town this occurred in was; Kouts, Indiana. The county was; Porter county. Late 1980's or early 90's. I seem to remember him showing me a news paper that covered the story at the time. Also, I think it was on the front page. I can picture the news paper with the article in my memory. Funny thing is, Im not sure if I remember seeing it because he showed me the paper or because he told me about it and I pictured it in my mind. I apologize for the foggy memory. Its been about 30 years. It sure would be cool to find out what really went on there. Who the girl was that Elvis gave those gifts too and why. I have wondered about that for mamy years. If there is anything else I can help with just ask.
