My mum was so lucky she was front row at Elvis last concert at Market Square Arena, she was given a towel that was wrapped around Elvis neck. She passed away in 2009 and the towel went with her when she was cremated, it was a nice way for Mum to go knowing that a bit of her hero was with her. Great video thank you.

Thank you for bringing us Sams words. As I have told you before, I saw Elvis in concert in Atlanta in 1977. People were angry for the bad performance, but I was sad. I could see a man on stage who was very sick. Of course most of us had never heard of the drug addiction, so I saw sickness. Here was a man trying to perform, who should have been in a hospital. Sam makes it even more clear. Maybe in that hour, I knew Elvis as the man, and not the singer. Thank you again Billy. You once again brought us a piece of the man.

That was AMAZING! That man loved Elvis!! Not the entertainer but the man!!! That was so wonderful that he brought that out!! I know as a fan I forget that Elvis was a MAN. He had feelings, he had a heart and he wasn’t untouchable. I am so guilty of thinking that man he had everything and was everything and man he was perfect. But he wasn’t, and I have to be so careful and not put him up on a pedestal that I can’t take him down from. He was a great entertainer, but he was still just a man. Thank you, Mr. Thompson that was so wonderful!!!

This series has proven to be my favorite thus far. Outstanding. Sam has such a unique way of putting Elvis right in focus and also right in front of us with his wonderful stories. Never before have I felt such a real connection to someone else’s accounts of their time with Elvis. Just amazing to watch. Also to have lived a life to be a real and true friend of Elvis is a Blessing beyond nearly fully understanding. Sam is a humble and good man. I can only hope to be as Blessed.

Elvis fans are the most loyal dedicated bunch of people you will ever meet. We will forever be thankful for every cherished tidbit you can tell us. And we will also fight King Kong if he disrespects our Elvis. Elvis was my very first love and at 62 and 40 years after his death, I love him more than ever. Many thanks! Much appreciated! ♥️

You show the positive side of him, which is so much greater than the negative that I’ve seen recently. My parents were able to see him in concert in Fort Worth , Texas in 1976. I was 6 yrs old. I grew up knowing how amazing He was! & now, I’m 51 yrs old, & I am able to appreciate his talent even more! Keep doing what you’re doing Spa Guy!!

Thank you for doing both parts of 1& 2 of this incredible story from Sam.. about his experiences with Elvis. He sounds like a real true friend and a lot more actually, to Elvis. It was an honor to see and hear this man talk about how great Elvis was as a person off stage. I wonder if Elvis thought of Sam; not only as an awesome friend but maybe as a brother also. Someone who Elvis could count on to have his back at all times. Thank you Sam for being there for Elvis both as a performer and most importantly as a true and honest friend. Thanks for letting the Spa Guy interview you. These stories are so incredible. It means a lot to me to learn different things in Elvis's life . Thank you Spa Guy for this awesome interview with Sam.
