Elvis Presley Coffin Photo Who Took it? The Spa Guy

The pic looks like a much younger Elvis.. It does not look like Elvis in 1977.

I lived in Memphis in the the late seventies, Me and my sister stood in line for hours to get a five second glimpse of Elvis from about 10 feet away...and I can promise you that is not a picture of Elvis's that saw that day...he was much heavier and his face was much more bloated...

I remember at the age of 10 my family stopped at a local Stewart's store that sold beer, soda, ice cream and candy. When I entered the store the first thing I saw was that newspaper with Elvis's pic on the front. I was a huge Elvis fan even back then and never forgot that image. We both shared the same birthday, January 8th and I always thought that was cool. My next door neighbor at the time was named Glen Moscheo, she was the aunt of Joe Moscheo who sang with Elvis and became very good friends with him. I remember Elvis's family limo at her house in about 1971 and was too shy to go down and ask for an autograph. It's funny because when they recently put that limo up for auction at Mecum's I immediately recognized it because of that unique small back window and tail lights. Just a neat memory I thought I would share with you guys.

And what do Priscilla, Ginger, Linda, Charlie, Joe, etc. think of this picture ??? They know the truth !!! Personally I never believed that this photo was real, I can't find the skeleton of Elvis' face, his nose, his chin, his proportions, not at all ! The image is blurry, the coffin looks like a drawing... !!!

As a funeral director and embalmer with almost 20 years of experience I think the photo is fake.

He looked younger and the lack of bloating in Elvis' face is still a question. Larry Geller spoke of having to do a poor dye around his face. The waxy foundation covering the the bluing discoloration from our blessed Elvis did not look like him. Remember he was laying on his face for many hours after he died. Even Alana Nash who saw him twice said it did not look like Elvis but that it was him in the coffin. Our poor baby, if he lived by the quote, "live fast and leave a beautiful corpse" was not granted that in death. So it could have been a faked photograph.

I have to disagree about your comment. No disrespect, but the composition of the body changes after the deceased has gone through inbalming process. The body of Elvis shown in the casket is infact Elvis Presley. I know the picture look years young but you must take in consideration that a lot of fluid was probably been removed from Elvis body which was drawn excess fluid from his face and body as well . That's why in the casket, Elvis looked young in the face besides the light touched make up on him . I hate to say it, but He is truly at eternal peace. R.I.P. ❤❤❤❤❤ Darling.

Back in the day “photoshopping” included air brushing which is what I believe happened here, that’s the drawing you referenced. I’ve always thought that picture was “faked”, Elvis looked way too young in the “coffin” picture. Thanks pal, I’m glad I’m not the only one that has these thoughts🍻

Looks just like Elvis. Elvis died in 1977. They had his funeral on TV.

Wow. I always knew that picture was way too young of him. I saw him in concert in Odessa, Tx I think in 1975 or 76. He definitely looked older at that concert than the pic in the coffin. I actually was up against the stage. He threw down a scarf. I caught it then a girl much taller than me ripped it out of my hands. My stepdad paid 2 of his employees to stay in line for 2 days before the tickets went on sale & we were on row 5. I have been to plenty of concerts but have never, ever felt the aura, the emotions, the energy that was there in the entire building. It was phenomenal. I'm sure I still have the tickets somewhere.

I think its Elvis, obviously his face has lost all the excess water Elvis was carrying, He went back to how he was, handsome, Beautiful Elvis. Looks like a Angel asleep. Bless him all his suffering over

When I was a teenager in the 80s there was a lot of conspiracy theories about this photo. Some people were claiming it wasn’t Elvis but rather a wax body. They even went as far as claiming an AC unit was mounted on the side of the coffin. I always thought this pic looked off for some reason. Thanks for clearing up this mystery, I agree with you.

I was 16 when Elvis died and I remember that photo and always thought it was a drawing too.

I agree. I never bought that as being a real picture from Elvis's viewing. The sharpness in detail of his face and hair stand in contrast to the rest of photo. Another great video!

Thank You, thank you, thank you Spa Guy! You have brought my life so much happiness! I wish I could work with you on finding more Elvis facts! I grew up in Jackson,MS. But, my uncle,aunt, and cousins lived in Southaven. Every summer we would go there. They lived just a few miles from Graceland. For what its worth Billy , my dad was bloated and swelled when he died and when we laid him to rest he was not at all bloated and he looked as he did 20 years prior to his death ! I couldnt beleive how much of a difference he looked after the sickness was no longer living in him . god bless and thanks for your videos billy .

Never saw these people interviewed. Thank you for sharing with us. Stories of Elvis growing up and getting famous. Everyone says that Elvis was always a lot of fun. His laugh had been contagious. Living in Elvis world must of been funny at times.
