All the Mediterranean areas in Catalonia are prone to "riadas", generally speaking in September. Terrassa had a terrible floods in 1962 and since then a lot has been done to prevent floods.

The removal of dams as an excuse to explain flooding is short-sighted. Dam removal must be accompanied by sufficient green areas downstream as to mitigate the flow of water.

But they're not taking steps downstream to mitigate the flow of water. They're doing the opposite! They have stopped/reduced the dredging of drainage channels and rivers at the behest of Brussels. An allegedly 'environmental improvement ' that has contributed to so many deaths. Heads must roll in Spain and the EU
