Just made it! It is so fluffy and delicious. I put 110 gr sugar (mix cane and brown), and that's enough for me. And instead of lemon/orange zest, I put 30 gr of chopped walnuts. The perfect cake for evening tea. Thanks!

I just made this recipe and it's one of the best desserts I've tried. I didn't have the clementine zest and added 1/4 tsp of vanilla extract. My family loved it & I can't wait to make it again.

I have made this 3 times. Quick and easy. Gluten Free. Delicious as is. I served this with fresh seasonal fruits/yogurt topping. Second time, toppled with slivered almonds, a great coffee/tea cake.

I made this cake for a close friend's birthday and the group's reaction was "wow you need to open a bakery!" I made a double quantity (6 eggs, 3 cups almond flour) for a 9 inch spring form pan and it turned out perfectly, baked at 350 F for 40 minutes. A couple of changes were that I swapped the cinnamon for cardamom, added some vanilla, and and reduced the sugar by 1/3. I also tried brushing the top with a simple syrup made with the orange juice leftover from the zested orange and it made it super moist and delicious. Highly recommend!

I've made Williams Sonoma version. Also super moist. 9 inch pan 3C almonds, toasted, cooled, ground. 1 stick butter 2/3C sugar 7 eggs Dash vanilla Juice and zest of 1 lemon (sometimes 1 use orange) Cream the butter and sugar. Add eggs 1 at a time, beating after each one (no leavening). Then fold in zest and almonds. Juice is poured over cake when done, after poking holes in it

Ive made your recipe for this cake many times and it's always perfect. I think this is the most well made recipe video that I've ever seen.The music is pefect and perfectly coordinated with the visuals. Also- it's to the point. I love it!

excellent recipe, we are making it on regular basis! very delicious, simple, easy to make and very healthy compared to other desert recipe. try with coffee in the morning! yes, add little of almond extract and/or vanilla extract. also a very small of baking soda to increase the volume and make it little more "fluffier". thanks for sharing!

Such a great simple recipe!!! I've baked it some time ago and it came up just great. Now realised that substituting sugar with stevia or erythritol makes it very low GI cake which means it can be low carb & keto friendly! 🙌👏👌

Hi! This is a traditional recipe that doesn’t use any chemical leavening agent. The eggs and sugar when whisked until pale will act as a leavening agent and help the cake rises. Hope it helps!

Soory but when did 1 and a half cups be the same as 3 quarters cup. Both for flour and sugar say 150 gramms beside the cups.

It’s because the “state” of the ingredients. Flour doesn’t weigh the same as sugar in volume(cups). Flour is lighter.

I bought mine but you can make your own almond meal by grinding the almonds using a coffee grinder or something similar. Just don’t grind too much as they will become almond butter. Thanks Ginnette!

I love Tarta de Santiago. As you live in Spain , do you get " harina de almendra" ? I can see that in English " almond meal" and "almond flour" are slightly different.Thank you , I like your channel a lot.

Hi! If you noticed in the video mine also collapsed a bit, no worries. If yours collapsed too much, try reducing the oven temperature. Hope it helps.

Anuradha Tempe , no frosting . The cake speaks for itself because of the amount of almonds . The traditional north Spanish recipe has only icing sugar on the top.

They are basically the same. Almond flour is usually ground more finely than almond meal.

tunggal sari , mix well is enough . I backed it yesterday ( delicious ) ; normally in North Spain they don’t use orange zest and they often add a table spoon of orujo ( it is a pomace brandy similar to grappa ) .

I just made mine. After 35 min in the oven, it's kinda burned out but not too much. I know I should watch it. Next time I will watch it, or just set my oven up for 350 F for 35 min. And by the way, I was amazed that my US cup of granulated sugar contains 120 grams of sugar, not 150.
