Just as exams are over, another AEW documentary drops, delightful. Sammy G, the double champ. Loved the guy ever since I've first seen him in the first AEW match and even more so after some interviews and podcasts he did. I was so sad when he got suspended and so happy when he returned :) Man I love these videos. I get to enjoy all of those moments again and its an all around fun trip down memory lane (not the scary moments in his cursed feude with Matt Hardy tho). And its amazing how my brain works and how weird it is to remember, for example for me it is hard to remember how people used to look (without side by side shots from now and then) cuz I'm so used to their current looks (Trying to picture the not buffed, tatooless "dashing" version of Cody Rhodes is hard). Sammy put on some muscle in the last 2 years and I think it works realy well for him. But I have a great, grave and serious critique for this video: who are you to deny me some good old "SAMMY SAMMY SAMMY" yells from JR? unacceptable ;) If you're doing AEW only documentaries, I'd like one on AEW as a company next. I think AEW evolved so many times and so much since its inception its almost unbelivable and I watched every Dynamite and PPV. Looking back, Jim Cornette somewhat had a point when he called it The Elite and friends show in the beginning. Although I stopped watching WWE in early 2019 when AEW was announced (I still watch select matches on the big PPVs and some observer praised matches and promos but nothing more), I think Becky Lynch would make a great documentary. I think she is the nr 1 most over wrestler on the planet atm (mostly because WWE has more fans than AEW). If you just do AEW wrestlers, I think Youngle Boy is a good candidate.

Yeah that Matt Hardy feud was cursed, but I also think, if they just stayed away from making every match being a gimmick match. Matt wouldn’t have suffered so much. lol His team extreme days are over, he didn’t need to prove he could still go with a then 27 yr old Sammy. But I like the aftermath and the new Sammy, just proving himself over and over. The face turn was natural too.
