It's harder to hear the differences between L sounds if you pronounce the entire word differently.

Needs a correction. There are many L in "English". London. Cool. English, etc. Light L, Dark L, etc. You can't compare a prenuclear spanish L with a postnuclear english L. Catalans do pronunce a dark L. Please update.

Lighter and brighter versus darker doesn’t help me as much as concentrating on the vowels around the L. If I think about pronouncing the nearby Spanish vowels correctly, I don’t feel like the Spanish L is difficult at all.

There is one point i feel confused,that is how to pronunce the "l" before a consonant in a spanish word.i know there are dark l and light l in english,but i dont know if its the same for spanish.In some words,i feel the "L"sounds more like "light L",for example,algo,but in other cases,it sounds more like "dark L",for example,alto. so i feel very confused about it,maybe its because my feeling is wrong,could you answer me?Thank you.
