power is universal and is shared between all your bases so even if you didn't build your base near resources, what you can do to mine a specific resource is find an asteroid rich area and slap down a single corridor base piece then put the auto miner turret on it and it will function, then just come back and collect the resources it collects later

Nice thing about Astrometica is that it's like Planet Crafter in that you can build a separate base with all your batteries and solar panels and it will power any new bases you make or existing bases. Lets you also carry around enough for a door and you can just throw it down and refill your oxygen inside.

I almost jumped from my seat when thinking that the Skipper would spawn inside the asteroid. The cave was just a bonus. 😁Hope you got the christmas items by now. The suit can only be seen when on the Skipper. Have a great year.

When the skipper said usable power cost 100, that's just a one time cost. All crafting has a power cost in every machine, it pulls that much power out of the batteries to craft it. You had 500 usable power, so no battery was needed. The machines themselves have a constant power requirement that extra batteries are needed for.

Backpacks & items falling through the floor is a known bug (been reported on the official discord for Astrometica) so hopefully will be fixed in due course.

@Spanj, the top of the battery looks like it might be a connector, can you not stack batteries on top of each other instead of needing a corridor for every battery? @27:20 you flew right by 3 quartz nodes on top of the huge rock.

Hey Spanj! If you don't want to hit all the walls and asteroids using jetpack hold ctrl button to stabilize your flight instead of gliding everywhere. It's a bit slower, but in small places it helps.

You can set up a bunch of corridors separate from your base to put power on because no matter where you build it all shares the same power

The oxygen tank is a consumable used to add the noted amount of oxygen into your suits Oxygen storage pack. Larger packs may be available further into the game. I have not gotten that far yet.

The entire oxygen system in the game is designed to frustrate. Who in there right mind would travel into space with such a small O2 reserve?

You did find yourself a nice rock locked base location lol I believe you can mine some of those rocks. I think some of the big ones are 15 iron. Also, the auto miners are great but you are going to need massive amounts of power.

you get all the resources back when you take apart what you have built..... so pick a spot, and rebuild, maybe off screen.... or as a chilling and building... just an idea : )
