Lance I first tuned in for the repair information but I am enjoying the easygoing projects and listening to tropical birdsong in a warm climate in the background. I live in western canada with challenging continental dry cold nearly 6 months per year so I have extra incentive to listen to your videos .

Safety Thongs! 😂 Great video Lance. Just goes to show that in all things - from engine work to paint, patience and perseverance in the prep stage will pay you back many times over in the final product.

Good one, cleaned up real nice, I had my doubts from the other video, of course here in cda climate precludes using water straight up for engine cooling. Never seen a water jacket that looked quite like that.

Hi Lance, You could use a good quality stone with a heap of WD40 mate. so long as it's new and flat. it works a treat and is a lot easier and more maneuverable around things like head studs. love your work mate.

Thanks again Lance, and you give always the reason why you are doing something, very educational I have 2 tef and both do not have enough oil pressure. I put a new pressure meter and filter but it stil stays the same. So I think I have to take the engine appart so your video is a great help for me. Regards from the Netherlands
@BundyBearsShed
@BundyBearsShed 4 жыл бұрын
The TEF is different Im afraid they can be a pain to work on in the engine. You need to pull the engine out completely to remove the crank to get it apart.

This is a super great series Lance, thanks for sharing. I've always liked the Fergie, now I've found a rough looking one that I hope to grab, so the series is perfectly timed. I have no machining skills though, would you sell a liner lifter and ship it to Sweden?

Can someone tell me fe35 and mf35 petrol have small sleeve bore? I am trying to put sleeve as these not going down? Thanks
@BundyBearsShed
@BundyBearsShed 3 жыл бұрын
The TE20 had either an 80mm bore on the early tractors then the 80mm on the later models. All of the 35's had the 87mm bore right up to the MF135 so there should only be one size.

could you put any rust inhibitors inside the block where the water lives, although I guess that might not work with the heat...??
@BundyBearsShed
@BundyBearsShed 2 жыл бұрын
Yes but in the form of a glycol based coolant.
@vehicle_entrance
@vehicle_entrance 4 жыл бұрын
Lance, would you ever do anything on the cleaned up internal surfaces (other than oil etc) to prevent rust in the future? Such as oxide paint or something a bit more permanent? So as it's not left bare metal touching water/coolant. Great videos, really enjoying them.
@rogerwale4827
@rogerwale4827 4 жыл бұрын
Any good rust inhibitor will definately help reduce further corrosion. add it to the coolant water!
@BundyBearsShed
@BundyBearsShed 4 жыл бұрын
I never have and I would be worried about it coming off and blocking the cooling system as I couldn't be sure I could clean everywhere properly to get it to etch into the block. On a gearbox I would.
@BundyBearsShed
@BundyBearsShed 4 жыл бұрын
Yes the Glycol based coolant has a film that stops this sort of thing happening again.
