Pulling off a revenge counter assist automatically wouldn't be implemented well especially if that not what you wanted to do. You would lose 2 skill points automatically for no reason. I think the auto assist would work similarly like in Fighterz. I have no intention on using battle assist. We didn't have those kind of training wheels available when we play the Tenkaichi games

One thing I haven’t seen in any of the gameplay footage that I hope makes a return in the game are the blast combos when you’re in max power mode (sparking mode) that’s the one feature that is the reason why I go back and play BT3 more than BT2 even tho BT2 is my favorite overall. It kinda looked like Goten did one in the training mode gameplay footage but it didn’t look as complex as it was in BT3 and looked more like a knock back into an ultimate rather than an actual chain combo straight into a super attack. SN: I also really want to see Cabba, I actually like him as a character especially in the manga

Tenkaichi 3 was pretty hard at higher difficulties. I struggled with medium (no equips). But I played Kakarot on hard and no equips and died 2-3 times total. PS2 era games were just harder than they are now lol. So the assist mode is likely for the people who are used to playing current games where beating a game is inevitable. I don’t think they’re adding assist specifically because it’s harder than bt3 though. Moreso because games no are easier (unless it’s a souls game).
