Hiruzen actually didn't know what to do. That's why those three had to actually do something. If everything went according to Hiruzen, then the Uchiha clan would start the civil war against Leaf Village.

They would have started civil war because of the discrimination. Fugaku wanted to protect the Leaf village, but was blamed for the bad things that happened. He wasn't some crazy guy, if Hiruzen and Fugaku acutally talked with each other, things could probably have gone well. Hiruzen's plan was just fine.

Adrumeen Arletoudo Well, the first thing would be to have a emotional connection to the characters involved in sad scenes. Then a good mangaka can draw scenes and characters in a way that strongly expresses their emotions. Listening to songs and soundtracks while reading manga helps as well.

Regardless of other aspects of Kishimoto's writing, which may not necessarily be the best, I always felt that the generational conflicts and the political history of the founding of Konoha and how that cycled into the Uchiha Clan Massacre to be very fascinating. It adds a very insightful depth to the world of Naruto that we were not being exposed to previously and opened up the historical size and scope of the Naruto world. Its a shame Kishimoto didn't explore its other aspects outside the Senju and Uchiha rivalry though. Oh well ...

All hokage sacrificed everything for the village. Naruto endured the hatred and enmity of the village since birth till 17 years of age. Itachi suffered from 14 years old till he died at 21. So as you can see, Naruto suffered a lot more.

Itachi's backstory is considered to be one of the best and most tragic ones in the series. It takes the number one spot on my list, the second is taken by Gaara's backstory. Funnily enough I do not consider Naruto's story nearly as tragic as those two, even though he and Gaara are quite similar and Naruto is the main character.

Gaara and Naruto arent similar. They are more oppisite. Naruto had friends and teachers to help him grow and understand how to love. Gaara was always alone. They showed this when Gaara died. They reflected on Gaara and Naruto's parallel lives.

Gaara and Sasuke's stories are very much similar and theirs are the most tragic (along with Itachi's) ones. They both grew up alone, being told they were hated by the person they loved and respected the most. Eventually, Gaara found his closure and Sasuke made peace.

It was either take out the Uchiha or prepare the another ninja war. And Itachi chose his decision. Not sure why it was kept a secret though. In a world of ninjas I'd think everyone would understand the situation. And the Uchiha are the ones who made their decision. They chose to start a war, instead of leaving the village.

I know it was probably unintentional on Kishimoto's part but because of the whole Kekkai Genkai and genetic traits thing, all he did was make Konoha look like Nazi Germany.
