Things to keep in mind about GT, SSJ4 is the best thing to come from the series, and it's not as bad as people say it is. EDIT: According to the DBZ wiki the extent of Akira Toriyama's involvement in GT is as followed "Akira Toriyama is credited as author in the ending credits of Dragon Ball GT; he oversaw the series' production, this was the same process that was used during the production of the anime series Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. He drew a rough design for the GT logo, he designed the GT appearance of the series main cast, and he designed the appearances of Giru and the GT spaceship used in the Black Star Dragon Ball Saga. He also drew at least three color pictures of Goku, Pan, and Trunks adventuring on various planets (Monmaasu, Rudeeze, and an area in Hell). Toriyama seems to have positive feelings towards his works' continuation, as he drew his own version of Super Saiyan 4 Goku (which was originally designed by Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru) exclusively for the Dragon Box GT. Characters and events from GT have also been included in more recent Dragon Ball video games"

Alright here's the short story, Curt! At the beginning of DragonBallGT Goku was transformed into a kid from a dragonball wish. This is an episode of Goku transforming into SSJ4. Goku was fighting an enemy called Bebi Vegeta (Vegeta possessed) on a different planet. Anyway! Goku got his ass handed to him and was about to die until he looked up at planet earth and reacted to it like a sayain does with the moon. So he went ape shit and lost human control of himself until his granddaughter pan showed up and helped him gain control of his mind.

I don't think I can properly explain Dragon Ball GT, it's kind of a mess. However Curtis, you always have a lot of questions regarding Dragon Ball. So I recommend you watch some of MasakoX's videos, he is the TeamFourStar member that voices Goku and Gohan. He also is a nice guy with whom I had the pleasure of chatting with on occasions, he has several videos in which he explains Dragon Ball's more confusing subjects. Until further notice Super Saiyan 4 isn't a real thing anymore. It came from Dragon Ball GT which is now basically an alternate reality that TOEI (the animation company) came up with because the original creator (Akira Toriyama) stopped at the end of the Buu saga. But now the Akira came back with movies like Resurrection of F and Battle of Gods and Dragonball Super and is continuing from the Buu saga himself and going into a different direction than GT did. It's good stuff to watch, but keep in mind that SSJ4 is basically an alternate universe now. (Like some of the movies) It's been replaced by transformations like Super Saiyan God and ..... Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan. The girl is Pan, Gohan's daughter and Goku's granddaughter. And the enemy he's fighting is Vegeta. To be specific "Baby Vegeta" who's body has been taken over and transformed by a parasitic enemy named Baby.

I can explain a few things. The kid is Pan, shes Gohans daughter. The bad guy is called Baby(yes Baby) he is a cyber-organic clone of a race that existed on the planet Vegita before the saiyans killed them off. Baby can take over a body semi permanently making the person "believe" that they are part of his race (truffles if i remember right). Baby (and "truffled Bulma") created a Flux wave machine with supposedly created the same energy wave created by a full moon. And lastly the planet that they were on was a replica of the truffles planet and yes Goku was looking at Earth. The "Giant Monkey" form is called Ozaru, it happens when a saiyan sees a full moon and the gold version is just a super saiyan Ozaru.

A Tuffle; the race that previously inhabited Planet Tuffle (Vegeta) before it was taken over by the Saiyans, was resurrected as a "baby" like entity who has similar powers to Majin Buu. "Baby" had taken over Trunk's body/mind and learned more about the Z Fighters before Trunks was able to push Baby out of his body. Baby went to Earth and controlled many people until he was strong enough to fight/control Goten. After that, Goten (Baby) went on a quest to find Vegeta, but before that he fought Gohan and took over his mind. This doesn't mean Goten is free though. Baby, apon leaving a host body lays an egg inside the person in which he can continue to control them. Now with Gohan and Goten on his side, he seeked out Vegeta and managed to control him. After this, Baby went on to control everybody on the planet including Dende and Mr. Popo. Once Goku, Pan (Goku's granddaughter/Gohan's daughter), and Trunks returned to Earth after collecting the Dark Star Dragon Balls to save the Earth. Goku, unknowingly gives Dende the Dragon Balls while they visit their families, which they haven't seen since they started their quest for the Dragon Balls. Dende uses the Dark Star Dragon Balls to bring back Planet Tuffle (Vegeta). Goku eventually discovers this and fights Vegeta (Baby). Unfortunately even with the power of Super Saiyan 3, Goku still could not defeat Vegeta. Eventually, the Elder Kai helps Goku regrow his tail which will make him strong enough to fight Vegeta. During their fight Goku becomes a great ape from looking at the Earth from Planet Vegeta, which leads him to become a Super Saiyan 4.

Dragon Ball GT is a "grand side story" to the original Z anime. It is not considered to be the canonical timeline that the series follows, which is Dragon Ball Super. It was not made by the original creator of the series Akira Toriyama, however he played a small helping in its creation, such as designing the logo and character designs. A quick summary of the series: GT takes place around 7-8 years after the end of Dragon Ball Z. A group of old villains snuck onto the lookout, and discovered a hidden room that had a different set of Dragon Balls. These are known as the Black Star Dragon Balls, and unlike the regular ones, they can grant any wish, however, the consequence would be that the planet would be destroyed in a year after granting the wish unless they were gathered together again. The villain group made a wish to turn Goku back into a child, thinking they would deal with him better, but failed. Goku then goes on a space journey with an older Trunks and Pan (his Granddaughter, And Gohan's daughter) to gather these Dragon Balls and revert the wish. There are 4 arcs to the series. Quick summary: Black Star Dragon Ball - explained above Baby - while in space, they encounter a villain named baby; an android mutant made to take revenge on the Saiyans as they wiped out his species, who sneaks onto Earth and posses everyone except Hercule and Majin Buu. When Pan, Trunks and Goku return, Trunks is then possessed and everyone attacks Pan and Goku. Baby's main host body is Vegeta. Goku unlocks Super Saiyan 4 in this arc, after Baby uses the Black Star Dragon Balls to recreate his home world. Super 17 - After the Black Star balls turn to stone with Piccolo's sacrifice, the creator of Baby, Dr. Muyuu, who was killed by Baby, creates an android in hell alongside Dr. Gero, that rips a hole in reality, allowing the residents of hell to escape. Hell Fighter 17, who is exceptionally stronger than the original 17, seeks to fuse with him in order to unlock his maximum capacity and kill Goku and his friends. Shadow Dragons - After the last arc, the gang attempt to use the Dragon Balls to fix all the damage the Super 17 arc caused, but the Dragons Balls had built up so much negative energy from too many wishes being made with them, and they turned dark, creating 7 shadow Dragons, each representing a star'd ball. The arc is defeating the Dragons in order to get the Dragon Balls back. To sum it up; Great Ideas/Concepts, terrible execution. Due to both when it was airing and it's poor execution, the ratings of the series wasn't too good in Japan, so was cut short. It finished, but the ending had to be rushed. The English Dub of the series also created a lot of issues as either stuff was lost in translation or reworded, so scene that would have made sense in JP do not, or make less sense in ENG. What it brought to the table was unique and original ideas, but they were unable to deliver with its execution, so fights were very lacklustre.

Just the clarify: DBGT is a series that takes place about 20 years after the defeat of Majin Buu. Goku has also been turned back into a kid due to a wish from the first episode which is why he appears as a kid at 3:55. Here, Vegeta's body has been taken over by a parasite named Baby, the character at 2:44, who seeks to destroy all the saiyans as revenge for the destruction of his homeworld and or course becomes power hungry to conquer the universe. Kind of ironic that he uses the power of the race he hated the most to accomplish his goals if you ask me. After successfully controlling the minds of all the earthlings, including Gohan, adult Goten and adult Trunks, Baby makes a wish with the dragonballs to restore his home which is the planet they are currently on and the planet that Goku extends his hand out is indeed Earth. Goku, his grandaughter Pan, and Satan and a few others are the only ones who are not brainwashed and are desperate to survive because Baby Vegeta is too powerful. After being brutally beaten, Goku unconsciously transforms into the Golden Great Ape due to his tail being back as a kid, using the Earth as the power source for his transformation. He of course loses his mind but Pan brings him back to his senses, which led you the transformation you saw today. Only through Ssj4, Goku regains his adult form and becomes more powerful. I'd like to see you to react to the fight between ssj4 and Baby Vegeta as its considered the best in GT. Or you could watch the event before the ssj4 transformation and watch ssj3 kid Goku vs Baby Vegeta or Goku into a Golden Great Ape.

Well, if you remember in the beginning of the abridged series, if a saiyan has their tail, they can transform into a giant ape. In order to fight the guy that was flying (it's Vegeta with a robotic parasite taking over his body. Long story), the supreme kai and the older kai with him made a plan to regrow Goku's tail to transform into a great ape again. And since Goku goes super saiyan, the ape was super saiyan too. Learning how to control oneself as a super saiyan great ape is what triggers the ssj4 transformation. Oh, and Goku for some reason was using the Earth as a full moon to transform into a great ape. That's what the point of that planet was

There is a theory that ssj4 is the natural progression of the ssj forms after the first, and that ssj2 and 3 are artificial powerups of the original ssj form created by Gohan and Goku. I think this theory holds a lot of merit, because I can see the natural evolution laid out. First, a Saiyan is capable of transforming into a great ape, mastering that form and gaining complete conscious control over it so they can wield it at any time. Next, the Saiyan experiences an event that brings out their ssj transformation. Now, the next time they become a Great Ape, they become the Golden Great Ape, and lose all control over the form. Finally, they take back their body, and become the ssj4, altho naturally, this would only be the second iteration of ssj power. This makes sense, because every step upward is drastically different from the last. The oozaru form comes naturally to all saiyans who possess a tail. Once a Saiyan achieves a substantial amount of power, and a single moment of pure rage, and true need of power, they will become a ssj. Then, they will naturally be able to become the Golden Oozaru, but they will lose all control, becoming a mindless beast, having to undergo a massive mental battle to take back their body, and only then will they become the ultimate Saiyan warrior. The ssj 2 and 3 forms are just upgrades to the ssj. ssj 2 has the same prerequisites as ssj, only a bigger power increase and bigger emotional upheaval, while ssj3 comes through training

Dragon Ball GT is like Future Trunks' timeline now, an alternate series of events that happened in another timeline. It continues on from Dragon Ball Z. A new series Dragon Ball Super also continues on from Dragon Ball Z and takes place in the main timeline. So basically, they GT and Super are both DBZ sequels, but Super takes place in the main timeline and GT takes place in an alternate timeline, just like Future Trunks' world.

That planet WAS Earth, he looked at it and became the Golden Ozaru. This is from GT, he got his tail MANUALLY grown back by Elder Kai as a last ditch atempt to beat Baby on New Planet Vegeta. That girl is Pan, Gohan's daughter and she was going across the galaxy with Trunks and Kid Goku to get all the black starred Dragon Balls so Earth doesn't explode in a year. While they were gone they encountered an evil scientist that created the evil half-robot half-alien Baby. They thought they had killed him and Baby but when they arrived on Earth, they noticed everyone was under Baby's control.

Goku is currently on Planet Vegeta. (It was wished back using the black dragon balls). The other planet is earth. Planet Vegeta was wished back by Baby Vegeta, who wished the planet back to right before saiyans had arrived on it. (The guy with white hair is Baby Vegeta). Vegeta is being controlled by a Tuffle parasite name Baby. The truffles were a race of people who first lived on Planet Vegeta. (The planet was known as Planet Plant.) The truffles and saiyans lived in this semi state of peace. With the truffles being large in number and advanced, but small and weak with Saiyans being small in number but large and strong. Then the planet went into civil war with the saiyans winning. (The planet was renamed Planet Vegeta in honor of the war Comander King Vegeta. Father of Prince Vegeta.) Baby was made as a secret weapon against the saiyans but was created to late in the war to be used so it was sent off the planet to hopefully one day be used against the saiyans as it was designed. Oh and Pan (The girl) Is Gohan's and Videl's daughter. So Goku is in his 50 or something. Of Course....he was turned into a child at the beginning of the series. Oh and his ssj4 form can only be used in his adult form, thats why he looks like an adult while transformed.

I'll fill you in with some info. In Dragon Ball GT goku was turned back into a kid because someone made a wish with the dragon balls. The girl you see is named Pan, shes the daughter of Gohan and Videl. The other guy you see is Baby, he can take over peoples bodies. When goku was turned back into a kid, he had his tail again; which gives him the availability to turn into a Great Ape. Baby wants to destroy the Earth after taking control of everyones body. Goku gets enraged and becomes a Super Saiyan 4. Just to let you know...Akira Toriyama (which is the creator of Dragon Ball) said that Dragon Ball GT is not cannon. Which means Super Saiyan 4 isn't considered a real transformation to the original DBZ series.

This little Girl is Pan, the daughter of Gohan and Videl :) In Dragonball GT (which is pretty....meh) Goku turns thanks to the Black Star Dragonballs into a Kid. The Guy you saw there was Baby, a Tsufuru who hates the Saiyans and he owns Vegetas body so hes called Vegeta Baby (and no thats not his nickname Bulma gives him^^) Goku turns into the golden Oozaru and goes mad. As in the original Dragonball he can't remeber what he does in this form. Pan tries to held Goku to get clear and at leat a tear brings him back. When he saw the Planet, he thoughts it was the earth and so the transformation into the Super Saiyan 4 beginns :) Dragonball GT is....not the best, it has a lot of thing they are very bad but it gives us the SSJ4^^ for more information about GT, watch MasakoX's Video about GT :) (and I hope my english was understandable^^")

Saiyans turn into giant apes during a full moon and have to train to control the form. Baby is the enemy in this scene and he's sort of taken over Vegeta's body. Earth was the planet Goku was looking at which he sort of used as a moon to transform into the ape.

And it's not a super long video it's only about 11 minutes so it's perfect for dealing with the time warner cable stuff you have

So in Dragon Ball GT ironically Vegeta turned SSJ4 before ever even seeing SSJ3 and he did it with Bulma's help via science, sweet mystically ray beam science! (Watch Vegeta turn SSJ4 for the first time, it's great)
